Milo’s POV   I think, on some level, I knew before I started punching the guy that he didn’t do it. The truth is, I’m angry for a world of reasons having nothing to do with Kenton, Jack, or even Harper. The truth is, the moment I found that note, it hit me like a ton of bricks: what I once did to Nell, someone has now done to Harper. The look in my daughter’s big, sad, silver eyes—the pain she felt before we ever told her a thing about her fate—was because of the same action I once took against Nell. I hate that I ever left her.
