EPISODE 11 (FINALE)
Two weeks after Mr David and Mrs Grace were released, Chief Okpechi reopened the company and employed new set of managers.
Mr Excellent was taken to court. He was charged for murder of Dora.
The court session was attended by Sharon and some of her colleagues while Mr Excellent’s wife and some of his family members also attended
The judge listened attentively as the lawyers for both the complainant and the defendant made their presentation.
Sharon’s lawyer presented all the evidences he had against Mr Excellent.
After they had all spoken, the Judge asked Mr Excellent if he was guilty or not
Mr Excellent pleaded not guilty to murder.
“Are you a married man? The judge asked with a stern look.
“Yes, my Lord, I am married”, Mr Excellent replied with his face down.
“Where did you get the drugs that you added to the drink of late Miss Dora?
Mr Excellent replied, describing where he got the drugs from.
The judge adjourned the case for one week, to enable him go through the evidences presented against Mr Excellent.
He also ordered that the pharmacist that sold the drugs to him be fished out.
The court session ended and Mr Excellent was taken back to detention.
Two days after the sitting, Mr Excellent’s wife visited him. As soon as he came out and saw his wife, he buried his face with his hands.
“My love, I know I have wronged you. You have every right to be angry with me. You have the right to condemn me, but please, I need you by my side now, more than ever”, he pleaded.
She just sat there staring at her husband without saying a word. Suddenly, she began to cry.
She let the tears flow freely. Some minutes after, she wiped her face and began to speak.
“Excellent, tell me what I didn’t do right as a wife. Tell me where I went wrong in performing my wifely duties.
I gave you twenty years of my life. Five during courtship and fifteen years in marriage.
You cheated on me several times during courtship and I kept forgiving you. You would promise never to do it again and then you do worse after.
I thought you would change after marriage, but no. You got worse.
I cannot count the number of times I treated infection you brought to me due to your cheating escapades, yet I remained faithful and true to our union.
Excellent, look at me. Even after three children, I still look beautiful. I have been very intentional about my looks, just to be sure that I am not the one chasing you out.
I never denied you s*x even for once. Then you went as far as impregnating a girl and forcing her to get rid of it.
I was patient enough but you simply refused to change. God knows I tried my best to change you.
I am here to tell you that this marriage is over. Whether you are sent to jail or not, just consider yourself a single man”.
“You are free to do as you please from now on”, she ended her speech.
“Linda, you can’t do that to me. I am a changed person now, trust me”, Excellent begged his wife.
“I won’t be at the court for your next hearing, just thought I should let you know. I wish you luck”, she told him, ignoring his pleas
“Don’t worry about our children. Thankfully, I have a good and flourishing business. The kids will be well cared for”, Mrs Excellent said as she got up and left without looking back

At the next hearing, Mr Excellent’s only family in attendance was his younger sister, others didn’t show up.
The Pharmacist that sold the drugs was not found at the location he had described. Neighbors said he had relocated abroad and closed down the pharmacy
The Judge asked Mr Excellent again if he was guilty of murder or not, but he pleaded not guilty.
“But I listened to your confession and you admitted putting the substance in her drink”, the female judge said calmly.
“My Lord, he began, it is true that I added a substance to her drink. But I had no intention of killing her. The drug was meant to make her have a miscarriage, that’s all”, he explained.
“The miscarriage you just talked about is murder itself. You wanted to kill a whole baby”, the judge replied him.
“I am sorry my Lord”, Mr Excellent replied.
“Do you have anything else to say, before I pass my judgement? The judge asked, turning to the lawyers
Excellent’s Lawyer pleaded with the judge to be merciful with her judgement, assuring her that Mr Excellent had learnt his lessons and is truly sorry for his sins.
“I am going to treat this case as a manslaughter case, because you have pleaded. If I judge you for murder, you know what that means”, the judge said
She sentenced Mr Excellent to twenty years in prison with hard labour.
Mr Excellent couldn’t believe his ears. He screamed as he was being led away.
“See what I have done to myself. God gave me a diamond as wife, but I preferred to chase after stones. Other men should learn from my mistakes”, he wailed as he was pushed into the prison van waiting outside.
Sharon, watching him from afar, with tears in her eyes said, “you can rest now, my darling Dora. I finally got you justice”.

Mr David tried calling his uncle several times. His uncle wasn’t taking his calls.
He reached out to other family members and explained what happened to them. He asked them to beg his uncle on his behalf.
“I am not asking him to take me back into his company. I know I don’t deserve that. All I want is his forgiveness. I am dy!ng of guilt here”, he explained to them
The family members reached out to chief and had a meeting with him.
After so much pleading from members of the family, Chief finally forgave him but told him to go and hustle for his family.
He didn't take him back in his company
