The news of the annihilation of Javier and Annalyn’s armies reach Vanessa in due time. Her army has just reached Silentflow county and is poised to attack the city of Mistcreek. However, she breaks the attack and decides to head to Kealyn. If they head westward, they will eventually arrive at their destination. Their march is smooth without problem. They use shortcuts and by roads.
Vanessa is at the center of her army when sudden disorder is heard from the rear. She sends scouts to find out the problem and when they came back, fear truly grips her heart.
“A brigade of magic users is harassing the rear,” the scouts report kneeling before the mounted general. “They are advancing towards us as we speak.”
“Tell the van to hasten,” Vanessa shouts. “We must shake off our pursuers.”
