David and I toss Kayla into her cell and head back inside the packhouse. "I've been Alpha for less than a year and I have a rogue, a pack member, and a human locked away." David sighs as he pours himself a glass of whiskey from the mini bar in his office.
"They all deserve to be there though, and Alpha Damon would be proud of you." I know Damon is no longer our Alpha, but it's going to take time to stop calling him by his former title. I know for certain that I am proud to have you as our Alpha." I pat him on the back and he gives a small smile. "Thanks, man."
"So, do you want to talk about the new power Claudette demonstrated? I thought only vampires could use compulsion on humans." David asks me in awe. He is clearly impressed by my little princess and her wolf's power.
