The following day, I had made up my mind. Now for the hard part, telling my parents.
I had linked them asking to meet me in the private dining room on our Beta/Gamma floor. When I arrived, Dad had already made us breakfast. I smile as I thank him and take a seat next to Mom.
"I can't take the suspension any longer. Ursula, please tell us whatever it is you called us for." Mom pleads.
Taking a deep breath, I tell them my decision. "I am going to move into the town of Meadowbrook for a year. I need some time away from...here."
They don't respond, so I continue.
"I was hoping Flounder would be my mate, and I didn't handle it very well when I found out he wasn't. I was a little harsh towards him and Blaine."
