The Man in My Dreams

Chapter 6: Magical Night

What the hell is this ohh, I haven't said my name yet, why is my dream always hanging? Wait dream, I think it's not really a dream anymore, what if my soul wanders alone every time I sleep?

I put my questions aside for now because Grandma is calling me, she said we are going to have dinner, it turns out I slept too long because it was late. I should have not slept first because it might make it difficult for me later. By the way, it was Lola who woke me up earlier, I followed Lola outside. We are now at the dining table, as usual we talk and laugh while eating.

When are they going to come here, I miss them too, I thought about my parents as I looked at them as they chatted happily.

We finished dinner and everyone went on their own cause they have to do something, I left to help put away what we use for eating . After that, I lay down and meditated outside, I will enter the room later because I won't be able to fall asleep right away.

I watched the beautiful scenery outside and savored the air first, it was very quiet around me as if there was no one living except me, when I felt sleepy I entered my room. I cleaned myself first before lying down on my bed, I looked up at the ceiling to make me sleepy, after a while I felt sleepy. I'm really happy because I know to myself that I will go there again in my dream.

I saw him sitting and looking up at the sky so I immediately go besides him.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"You're already here, it's nothing." It was a sluggish answer. Unlike before when his smile reached the sky, his aura is now shrouded in sadness.

"Do you have a problem? You can let out your problem in me." I said to him in a sincere voice.

"Zela, that's my name. Zela Ferrer, because I didn't make it last time." I added.

He lay down on the grassy land while continuing to observe the sky. So I did the same thing.

He took a deep breath and said "I've been running to this world, trying to escape from the reality that I have, Zela. And, to be honest, I'm tired of it. I'm very lucky because at least you're here and I'm not alone."

After saying that, he kinda change. He's not the guy that I used to know. If anything we are still not that close and know each other, I am still a mystery to him. Only this dream connects the two of us, so I know only a limited amount about his personality.

If you're tired, rest here and I'll make sure you'll be safe as long as you're with me." I answered.

He smiled, that smile like the light of the moon and the stars that shine in the dark night. I think I'm slowly falling in love and I can't stop it anymore. Later I saw fireflies flying all over the place which added beauty to the atmosphere.

"Can we just live on this dream? The sky is so beautiful and the fireflies are even more prettier if Lola Stella sees it, I'm sure she'll be happy too." I said happily.

"Sadly we can't, but we're lucky because we witnessed it so let's make the most of it." He answered.

I hope it will always be like this, happy, beautiful surroundings, and peaceful. Soon I will wake up again. It's not that I don't want to wake up, I just want to be with him longer now.' I said in my mind as we happily observed the surroundings.

"Zela, tell me a story about yourself, I want to get to know you better. It's a long night, we'll just get bored."

"Me? There's nothing new about me, I don't even know if you'll like me telling this story. I'm just a simple person, I just want to make Grandma happy and give her everything she wants. But it's not like that I still have things to consider, especially since I'm still working in Manila and I don't get to visit Lola very often." While I was saying that, I saw that he had closed his eyes, " You said tell a story, but you just slept." I said.

"I'm listening, I just want to close my eyes while listening to your voice so just tell me a story." He said while closing his eyes. After a while he also fell asleep. While I was watching him, his eyes were beautiful, soon I felt the weight of my eyelids.
