Archangel of Love
I lost my sense of time reading thru the pages of the book and later on had fallen asleep inside the library. Archangel I may be but I also get tired just like as what humans are according to the book I had read; oh, well, everyone does.
I woke up with a blurry vision, still regaining my consciousness from the slumber as I tried to escape its promising grasp, when someone tap me on my shoulder and whispered that’s the dawn is about to break on high. I yawned and look around me and saw the librarian busy checking every shelves of the books.
“Good morning…so busy early in the morning?” I greeted her.
“Yupp…got some nice sleep?” she replied
“Nahh quite some restful night, I guess. Thank you for letting me sleep in this library anyway.”
She chuckled and then said,
“No worries…but I’m telling you, this is not an inn for you to sleep next time. Understood?”
“Yes ma’am!” I answered back in a teasing manner.
“Good, now what’s your plan? You said you’ll be departing to your assigned world today?”
“Regarding that, yeah…thank you for reminding me…” I laughed as I responded to her.
“Have a safe journey there, and behave…don’t do perverted things there!”
“Haha…well let’s see how things will go there…anyway, I’ve got to go now. I’ll have to meet the human wizard family who will be adopting me in their world.”
“You’ll have your own taste of medicine if I heard you’ve done something unwholesome there, especially to the fragile ladies…” She said that sardonic statement while her eyes were like in tears for the fortune of the people, I’m gonna meet there.
“(sigh) You’re a crazy old little hag…I won’t do such a thing…Hmmm…they say thinkers are doers, I guess you’re the one fantasizing for those things over those poor men there in that planet. My, my, my heart breaks at the thought of that thing…” I answered her mockery back.
Her face turned red and I can see some smoke oozing out her ears and nose. This is not a good sight, I guess.
“Massssstttteeeeerrrrrr archangel of loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!” she dashed to me with a deadly intent.
“Eh? Wait! wait!” I’m waving my both hands signaling her to stop and I conceded but she’s unstoppable.
“Run for your life…you idiottttt!”
“Ahhhh.. I’m sorry that was just a jokeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..” I run as she continue to chase me. The library became our chasing ground up and down the stairs.
“Gotta get out of this place…” I can feel and hear every drop of my sweat that falls to the floor as I focused myself in finding a way to get closer to the library door.
“I won’t let you out you i***t. How dare you say those things to me!”
She’s mad. My God, what a mess early in the morning.
“I said it was just a joke. Let me go now please?”
“No further negotiations here. I’ll give you your own medicine now.”
(sigh) Just like the old times huh…a flashback during our childhood days came rushing before my thoughts. We used to tease each other here and have this crazy chasing and escaping.
“Brings back the old days.”
She smiled then blinked before me trying to grab me and bind me with some binding spell but luckily, I was swift enough to evade that sneaky attack. I teleported myself near the door while giving her some mischievous smiles.
“I guess I’ve won now…haha…better luck next time, my friend. Your old tricks won’t work with me.”
“Heh! Lucky of you. Next time I’m gonna kick your butt hard and lethal.” An exasperated response she gave.
“You can try.”
I smiled and wave my goodbye as I stepped out of the grounds of the library.
Though annoyed, she smiled back at me and bid her farewell. We’ve been close friends ever since.
I used some sort of teleportation spell so that I could easily be at the meeting place where I’ll gonna meet the family whom I’ll be staying while on earth.
