The next morning they went out for breakfast. Angelique seemed particularly bright — a soft, secret smile she couldn’t quite hide. Flashes of the previous night returned to her in small, heated images: the way he’d touched her, the way he’d moved, the faint, intimate sounds she had never expected from him. For someone who claimed to be inexperienced, he had been unexpectedly confident.
