With exams finally over, Emilia should have been able to embrace the festive season properly but the tension between her and Seb made it difficult. Nonetheless, she was determinedly hanging Christmas decorations when the knock came at the door. She’d left it so late this year because her heart wasn’t in it, but with only a few days to go until Christmas, it was now or never and she couldn’t bear the thought of Christmas without all the trimmings. To help her get in the mood, carols were playing softly in the background and the coloured lights were blazing on the tree.
