''Happy birthday dear Mia… Happy birthday, dear Mia.'' I heard mom's and dad's loud voices in my sleep, which brought a big smile to my face as I opened my eyes.
I saw dad and Mom standing by my door with big smiles on their faces and before I could say a word, mom hurried to my bed and gave me a big hug, squeezing me to herself in the process.
''Happy sixteenth birthday, my dear.'' She spoke happily and placed a kiss on both my cheeks. ''Thanks Momma.'' I giggled happily and moved my attention to dad, who was still standing by the door with a big smile on his face. ''Father!'' I called out excitedly. ''Yes dear.''
