''Thanks for everything.'' I thanked Simone while getting out of the car.
With two shopping bags in my hands, I made my way to the sitting room, got in and was pleased Rick and his business partners were no longer there. I went straight to my room, dropped the bag on the bed, but then a white envelope placed on the bed got my attention.
I picked up the envelope, tore it open, and realized a sheet of folded paper was inside. Curious, I took out the folded sheet and opened it. With my eyes fixed on the paper, I read the six words written on it. ''I think it's time we met.'' I read those words out loud with confused eyebrows.
Curiously, I turned to the other side of the envelope to check if anything was written on it, but it was blank, which got me more confused.
