Graham frowned. He knew Scarlett and Elowen disliked each other, and Cassian stood between them. He had no interest in becoming the referee for their romantic mess. It was far too childish. "Mr. Langford can judge for himself," Scarlett continued. "As for what you meant, there's no reason to keep arguing about it. We'd only be wasting his time and everyone else's." Graham glanced at her. She knew how to handle a room. "That's not what I meant, Mr. Langford," Elowen hurried to explain. "I truly didn't mean that. I only thought Scarlett was being disrespectful toward you..." "Enough," Graham cut her off. "You've been here long enough with Cassian. I want to speak with Scarlett." Elowen bit her lip and instinctively looked at Cassian. For a moment, neither of them knew what to do.
