Chapter 8: The Great StatueGordon had been looking around his room. On the walls there were three curious poems. They were all done in a beautiful handwritten script and had elaborate frames. The first one read: Do you recall, my brother? The bird as it flew over the gate of the king, As first light broke in this far land, A new wind brought the bird. The great eye watched over us all, It was a new day, full of promises Do you recall? Gordon had read the three poems several times, while being stuck in his room. He had looked out the window. It didn't open, of course, he had checked. So, he kept re-reading the poems. There was something strange and a little disturbing about them, but he kept reading them anyway. Two of them were in his bedroom, and one was hanging in his bathroom.
