Chapter 11: Father and Son“Is that from Trunculin?” asked the father to his assistant.
“Yes, Father. We just got a message that they are ready for the meeting. They will be sending their ship soon. Your response?” asked Coltun.
The father smiled and asked, “Has Darion already left to speak with the queen?”
Coltun replied, “Yes. He left yesterday with one of our councilors, a member of the inner circle. Do you really think it will go well?”
“I doubt it. But it doesn't matter. If she is intimidated and agrees to Darion as king, then we have won the battle with no blood spilt. If she imprisons or kills him, we will have an excuse to attack. Either way it doesn't change our time line. Our plans are still intact.”
“When will the inner council inform the outer council of our plans?”
