The Dragon

Today is the moon flowers mom is so excited she's been looking forward to it for months and now its finally here. " liah come here I need to show you something," my mom shouted I got up and ran to moms room. " mom you called what is it you want to show me?" I asked kaleela is here too." look I got both of you new dresses to wear to the festival tonight ," she said looking excited the dresses look beautiful but where did she she get the money to afford them " mom there amazing but where did you get the money from?" I asked " don't worry I've been saving up for the occasion. "mom said" then we all went on with our daily chores. I went in the forest to chop some wood and heard a snap I turned around but saw nothing there I continued on looking wood but I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that was coming over me then I felt it . I could feel eyes pricing threw me it sent a chill done my spine. I decided I'm not going to stay and become something meal without a second thought a ran like there was no tomorrow. as i make my way threw the woods I heard flapping like the sound of with wings then a huge shadow hover over me I looked up as i ran there was a monster with silver and black scales long sharp talon that looks like it can slice through you ma n flesh like butter the shock off seeing something so hug e i trip and fell on a pieces o log there was a clearing a head monster flew a head an landed in the center of the clearing blocking the path I need to get home I put my self together and got up I took a good look at the creature and it was a dragon.
it was staring at me but it wasn't a angry look its like he was trying to say something but l wasn't going to wait around so I took another way home it was longer and tree's were too close for the dragon the catch me. wait what the hell am I thinking its a dragon he could burn down the trees I looked behind me but he wasn't there I guess's he left but I'm no going to take any chances so I headed home as I reached the edge of the forest I saw my mom preparing the water for our bath before we go to the festival.
" kaliah where the fire wood you went to get," my mom asked. kaleela looked at me and said," she was probably fooling around in the wood." I rolled my eyes I was going to tell them what happened in the wood but I changed my mind they wont believe me even if I told them dragons are only seen in the kingdom of Valtaerian the kingdom is over a thousand miles away. villages out side of the kingdom are considered outcast every time there's a war the outside villages suffer the most, the soldiers always set up camp where the know they'll have access to food and water so the villages are always the camp bases and the common forks have no say in the matter if we go against them they kill us. so if any of the villager heard that I saw a dragon it may cause a panic the may think a war is coming. my mom always has a worried look when she hears that some one from the kingdom are passing through the village she always locks me up in the basement hiding me from anyone who she thinks is going to want to take me away if they find out I'm a healer.
The moon rise village { kaliah home] is close to the largest river in the entire country. surrounding it is a field of of moon flowers ,tall trees with vines hanging down, wild flowers everywhere. a little bit down the river is a water fall that shined like diamonds. the water that flows down into the river is as clear as a spring morning sky its breath taking so merchant always pass by to buy water, the water that flows in the river taste like honey so the village makes a profit buy selling the water and because merchants are always passing true I'm not allowed to leave the house mush that's why I am the one in charged of chopping wood and Leela goes into the town to buy grocery's.
The village didn't live here all there lives they used to live closer to the kingdom of Valtaerian but there were always caught up in a war so what was left of the village over a one hundred years ago decided it was time for them to find a new home they drifted for years and still didn't have a home until one early spring night the moon flower were in full bloom the light off the moon bounces off the flowers and eliminated the night sky the villagers saw the light and walked closer it was the most magical place they have ever seen but not only did the light shined of the moon flowers the entire field had a different senses of magic on it own the cool breeze blow and the trees swayed that night sky was clear not on cloud in sight the stars shined bright than any pieces of diamond every sound that was made sounded like music the villager cried they had given up hope to ever find a home but the moment they saw that field it was god gift to them and they cherished that field ever since and that how the moon flower festival came about.
it s almost night its time to get read for the festival mom was down preparing our bath and a bath was just what I needed from all what happen today I hope I can have fun at the festival to get mind of the dragon I hope I never see it again after we finished our bath we got dressed and did our hair.
