Chapter 6
It was a very bright morning and Leah just got up with the alarm ringing on her phone. She pulled the sheets and wrapped it around. She saw that Alex has already left. She sat on the bed for a while and tried to wrap her head around what happened last night.
She took a shower, wore casual jeans and a black top, paired it up with her boots and left her hairs open. She took her handbag and rode to her office.
She reported sharp at 9 am to her desk. She logged in to her system, checked her mails and attended meetings. Leah was not one of those women who gets distracted that easily. She was completely focused until a text emerged on the screen of her phone.
“I want to see you now! Come to my office!”
She ignored the text and continued working on her system.
Another notification came forth.
“I can see you ignoring the message. Come here right now.”
Leah looked at the cameras installed at her office and figured it out. She gave an angered look and texted him back.
“I can’t come now! I am working! I am busy.”
Alex replied in an instant.
“You are working for me okay? Just come right now!”
Leah scoffed off and just ignored the text again.
Mr Jack, her lead came to her desk and gave a message which told her to go to Alex’s office.
This time Leah was fuming with anger and then she took her phone and stormed off to his office.
As always Alex locked his office door after she entered.
“What’s the meaning of texting me 24*7? I am busy. You told me to report you by 6 pm. Its 12:30 pm.’
“I wanted to see you!”
“Okay. I am here. Saw? Now I am leaving!”
Leah tried turning away and Alex went ahead. He caught hold of her hand. He pulled her close and whispered in her ears.
“Your anger!!!! You have so much of it right? Shall I finish it? So much of attitude? Why huh? I satisfied you last night more than you could. Then why are you behaving this way?”
Leah looked into Alex’s eyes and saw how red it got. She was getting scared but she didn’t’ let it show to her face. She calmed down and finally responded to him.
“Alex, what happened between you and me last night might have been very familiar to you since you slept with so many women. The same is not for me. I had my first with you. And I would not want you to take the burden of that. So let’s just keep it casual.!”
“KEEP IT CASUAL??? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR f*****g MIND?? You have some nerve telling me all these shitty dialogues. I LOVE YOU!!! For Godsake! Yes I slept with other women! But that was to forget you! Do you know the amount of pain you gave me when you left me? I was tortured to no end. The pain was unbearable. And you don’t get it do you? I am not letting you go anywhere now? UNDERSTAND????”
Leah looked into his eyes. He was breathing heavily with eyes teared up as if he was holding everything up till now. She quietly nodded.
Alex brushed his nose to hers and breathed a sigh of relief.
“I am sorry to force upon you, but I can’t control my feelings for you.”
Looking at the way Alex held her, she knew she wouldn’t be able to resist him anymore.
Leah hugged him and embraced him.
“I am sorry dear if I hurt you. I love you too.”
Alex felt like an entire heap of weight just shoved off from his chest.
They embraced for a very long time. Leah felt how tightly Alex has held onto her. She held his face and kissed his forehead.
They kissed for a very long time. Alex tried sliding his hands under her top. But Leah stopped it and giggled.
“Not now okay? We are in the office. May be later!”
“Oh dear, please I can’t control. Your fragrance is so enamouring that its intoxicating!”
“Listen, we are working now! I will please you later okay?”
Alex couldn’t believe his ears and his temperature rose at the thought of what Leah could do to him.
“Don’t tell me things like this or I will take you right here right now!
Leah wanted it so much but she wanted to work so she didn’t want to instigate him more.
“Okay now go and work you dumbass! Let me go now!”
“Calling me a dumbass??? Are we?? You wait what I do to you”
Leah laughed and stuck out her tongue at him and went off.
Alex felt so happy. His love was his from now. His old love has returned to her old self.
Or so Alex thought.
Leah was sad inside. She did not have any option other than crying. The outcome of having a relationship with Alex may break him now or sooner. The brutality was going to be very gruesome.
Leah went up the stairs and cried her heart out.
She loved him so much. This was too much. But she couldn’t do anything. Her love for Alex was much more than her to lose him for her ruthless secret.
As Alex was celebrating, Leah writhing behind her long lost secret they were unaware that someone was coming to destroy everything they have lived up till now.
Brian was coming, the only person who knows the truth.
