Chapter 13 | Double Trouble

Ivan's pov:

I can't believe what I've heard just now. What's wrong with guys these days? Why is everyone hell bent on rejecting their mates? Damn their dumbness! Mate is most sacred and precious gift given to one by Moon Goddess!

Why does anyone wanna reject their mate? The one who is made for just you by none other than the Moon Goddess herself!

I should somehow find who the hell rejected my sisters.

I called Mom and informed her that I was taking Drake, Lily and Kia home. She was worried at first, I needed an excuse that could hit the target right!

I informed mom that Lily was uncomfortable with all the crowd around, and she did believe me. I didn't want Mom to worry too much, she's been already sad for the past week with dad not coming home, all thanks to the Grand preparations! Even though, she doesn't show it out, I know, she's been upset by Dad's absence.

Drake and I got into front seats, with girls occupying the rear seats. Drake noticed Lily and Kia. I thought he would throw a drama here in the car, but he questioned me just by raising a brow. I mouthed him later and he nodded.

In a flash we reached our home and Drake was thoughtful to get ahead first and unlock the front door. He got back to the car in no time and we helped the girls out.

Goddess! saying they are in a bad state would be an understatement! They are barely able to stand, with knees buckling under weight. Damn! Lily has it even worse.

Drake helped me support them. we dropped them to their respective rooms and instructing them to be out in 30 min to the living room and left them, to take care of their things.

"What's wrong with them?" Drake questioned, eyebrows furrowed and hands resting in pockets.

"Take care of your business and get back to the living room" I told him, he simply nodded.

Hell! I need the restroom badly. I did my thing and changed to pajamas. I went back to living room as soon as possible only to find it empty.

Okay! It's not time yet. I went to kitchen and made some snacks and drinks. I highly doubt if the girls had anything into their stomach.

"Ivan! you better tell me what's happening" I heard Drake from behind. all freshened up and hell pissed up.

"Lily got rejected by her mate" I tell him finally.

"What? The hell is wrong with people now? Why?" He is beyond pissed. Hell! I was barely containing my own temper here. Just, I just need the names of these so called mates and I will do whatever I can to teach them a lesson.

" Pump your volume down bro. I don't want them petrified around us!" He nodded.

"Today's mission is 'revealing the identity of those so called mates'. so, stay gentle with them" I think he understood.

"Go, call them out, I will be there with snacks" Drake left and I carried our snacks and drinks to the center table. In about 10 minutes, the girls were out, more like Drake got them out.

The girls are looking better than earlier, like far better! No makeup, but simply beautiful. The duo beat Taylor swift's cry look from 'blank space' earlier.

Lily and Kia are currently seated on the center sofa, beside each other. I offered them snacks which were denied, just as I thought. I offered some fruit juice to them, my eyes stern, daring them to say no. This worked! thankfully!

Lily and Kia finished their glasses, which was good.

"Kia, what happened with you back there?" I asked her reluctantly.

"I accepted my mate's rejection" Kia answered her tone wary of any possible expression.

"Why?" I questioned or rather whispered. Drake was visibly shaken by her response.

"He deserved that!" It was Lily's turn to answer whose shuffling to her side uncomfortably.

"You Knew who is Kia's mate?" I couldn't control my rage.

"I met him today, and he is an ass... whatever!" Lily dismissed my question, she sounded as if she's in pain.

"What is his name, Lily?" My voice stern this time. I can see Lily's un-comfort only grew by time and she clenched her stomach with one hand.

"I think it's not my thing to tell you about" I huff in frustration.

"Okay fine. Tell us who is your mate." Drake interfered. Lily's struggling to breath and her other hand went to her neck patting on it.

"You better stay off this" Lily answered and let out a chilling scream. I couldn't put a thing together. What's happening?

" Lily! By any chance? Is this because of your mate?" Kia questioned Lily. Lily barely nodded when Kia made her rest on the sofa.

I was still! Standing there, unable to move. How in the world is that guy doing this to Lily?

In a moment, just in a moment, Lily felt fine, but it lasted only a few seconds. Lily started screaming at the top of her lungs. She is in pain and sobbing. Lily started scratching herself. It started with her neck, her abdomen and what's worse is she's bleeding out from where ever her nails met her skin.

I couldn't blink. It's horrific enough to watch Lily in this state.

Kia pushed herself on top of Lily, trapping Lily's body with her legs and pinned her wrists above her head.

Kia is shifting uncomfortably on top of Lily. Is Kia trying to take Lily's pain a little? But that's not possible! Kia stuffed a cloth into Lily's mouth, muffling her screams.

Kia clenched her teeth occasionally and started panting. It's not even five minutes and she's no better to Lily now. Just then, just then! Kia started whining.

"Drake! take over!" yelled Kia, and With that Kia fell off Lily, onto the floor and let out a spine chilling scream. I got my wits together and made Kia sleep on a sofa, the one adjacent to Lily.

Kia is struggling bad and I didn't knew what to do. Her eyes shut tight, she curled herself into a ball, clenching her stomach with both her hands. She's visibly gasping for air and panting.

She started screaming and scratching herself, just as lily did, hell doing! Drake is not close to Kia at controlling Lily. I locked Kia's legs with one of my legs, shifting my weight to other, bent down to pin her hands above her head. This is working! Yes! I stuffed a cloth into Kia's mouth to muffle her screams.

"Drake! copy my position" I told him and he did the same. Hell! Now, the girls are locked, eventually, can't hurt themselves.

Gosh! It's not even 10 minutes and we are sweating. I should have switched on the air-conditioner earlier. The girls are in a lot of pain, and are restraining with all their strength. Now, it doesn't seem near possible. If I leave even for a second, Kia would hurt herself, Lily is no better.

Gasping, panting, sweating and restraining!

That is how my parents found us when they returned home. I heard a loud growl, capable of shaking the walls around us. I don't need to look up to know who that belonged to. It's my Dad of course. He looks all steamed up.

"Dad, can you please run the air conditioner?" I pleaded him and to my surprise, he actually did what I asked. Mom rushed to us, and frowned at the girls.

"Kia accepted her mates rejection and Lily also got rejected" I answered her unasked questions. Her eyes went wide as saucers and in an instant she rushed to Kitchen.

"What?" My Dad is so shocked that beads of sweat started forming on his forehead.

"Andrew is returning by morning tomorrow" my Dad informed me and I can't help but panic.
