Chloe explained to Pearl what had happened-that they only had a limited time to vacate. Pearl felt terrible. Moving to another place was costly, and she knew she needed to find a decent, well-paying job to help Chloe, her father, and herself. The next morning, Pearl dressed neatly and set out in search of work. She went from store to store, house to house, but no matter where she looked, she couldn't find anything suitable. By evening, she was exhausted and returned home, disappointed. Chloe quickly noticed Pearl's gloomy expression and asked what was wrong. Pearl sighed and explained that she had spent the whole day searching for a job but couldn't find one. "Oh, you didn't tell me you were job hunting," Chloe said. "I have a friend who mentioned a vacancy for a cleaner in one of those big houses. The pay is actually quite good." Pearl's eyes lit up. "Really? Can I go check it out tomorrow?" she asked eagerly. "Of course," Chloe replied with a smile. "I'll tell him to come take you there in the morning The next morning, Pearl woke up with more hope and enthusiasm than she had felt the previous day. Around 10 a.m., Terry arrived to pick her up, and together they headed to the place. On the way, Terry started a conversation. "You seem a little anxious. Are you?" he asked. Pearl shook her head. "No, no, I'm not," she replied quickly. "I'm just hoping the job vacancy is still there." "Oh, it is," Terry assured her confidently. "How are you so sure?" Pearl pressed. "Well, most people don't want the job," he said with a small laugh. Pearl frowned. "But if the job pays well, why wouldn't they want it?" "You'll understand soon enough-when we get there," Terry answered vaguely. Pearl sighed. "Ah, when will we get there already?" she asked, tired of waiting. "We're here," Terry said with a smile. Pearl looked up-and to her amazement, she saw the biggest, most beautiful, most glamorous house she had ever laid eyes on. It was exotic, expensive, and utterly fascinating. For a moment, she froze on the spot, her mouth slightly agape as she whispered in awe, "It's beautiful... so beautiful."
