CHAPTER 22It took three more days before Captain Svensson contacted Tara to say that the peace treaty was agreed to and signed. One concession that the humans had made was to assign Pyrena to the hexapod realm of influence, as it was too hot for humans to live there permanently but would suit hexapods for colonisation.
"Our ships are leaving in two days but the hexapod ships will be staying longer," he said. "Thank you for all your efforts and have a good trip back to your own time."
"It's a pleasure," Tara said. "I have a copy of the treaty before me and find it covers everything we could wish for." She glanced at Alva who was walking well, though she still tired if she attempted to do too much. Now though, she appeared worried. "So he still doesn't know that we're still alive?" she ask
