After Melissa and the girls got some much-needed rest, Beth and Ray came by with the kids. Logan explained the situation as briefly as he could but sparing no details. Beth Anne couldn't help herself. Her motherly instincts kicked In and she showered Melissa and the girls with hugs. I could tell this didn't sit right with her or Ray.
We were all sitting at the table talking over our meal. The kids sat on the living room floor getting aquatinted. Talking quietly while eating. I had thrown together some chicken and dumplings. A perfect meal to warm our belly's since all of us felt a chill from all the chaos.
