Chapter Five
Lockdown
We had been in lockdown for many weeks and I had not seen Hazel for 2 months –it had seemed a lot longer. Although we had spoken daily and kept each other sane, I had missed her so much, both on the physical side and also just having her beside me. I missed the way she smiled at me, her laugh and our slight touches. Once the news broke that the restrictions were going to be eased, we immediately organised a time to see each other. It was agreed that Hazel would drive to mine on the Saturday.
Although it had been so long since we had been together, I wanted to make it a little special and not just a ‘grab and have s*x,’ occasion (although the thought of having Hazel’s naked body next to mine got me through many days over the last few months)
