Audrey's expression was icy as she pointed at Ethan, saying, "Mr. Benson, this man tried to force his way in. I suspect he has a malicious plan!"

"The CEO is visiting today. If you can’t handle this, it’ll be your job on the line!"

Audrey’s warning made Mr. Benson nervous, and he immediately called his staff over the walkie-talkie. A dozen security guards arrived shortly after.

“Gisel, let’s go!” Audrey said, casting a cold glance at Ethan.

Sarah smirked at Ethan, "You’ll never work at Zenith Group—not ever!"

Gisel and Audrey walked away, leaving Ethan as if they’d handed his fate to Benson.

"Young man, this isn’t the place for trouble. You should leave now!" Benson growled, his face fierce.

Ethan narrowed his eyes and said, "You don’t know who I am or why I’m here, yet you dare to kick me out? Is this how security operates in this company?"

"Ms. Audrey already said you had malicious intent. I’m not wrong for kicking you out!" Mr. Benson retorted, frowning.

"You believe her? Do you enjoy being someone’s obedient dog?" Ethan’s expression hardened, his voice sharp and cutting.

Ethan’s words stunned all the guards in front of him.

"You’re asking for trouble, aren’t you?" Benson could no longer hold back his anger.

"Attack him, get rid of him now!"

Suddenly, a black car stopped at the company entrance, drawing everyone’s attention. A middle-aged man in a suit and leather shoes stepped out.

“Mr. Stanley!” The security guards immediately stood at attention.

Stanley ignored them completely, looking panicked. He hurried over to Ethan and bowed slightly.

"Welcome, Chief Executive Officer!"

Everyone fell silent, stunned by Stanley’s words.

Stanley was the general manager, the highest leader at the branch office. The only person he would address with such respect was the CEO of Zenith Group.

Benson, who moments earlier was ready to throw Ethan out, went pale as if he’d seen a ghost.

Mr. Benson fell to his knees.

"CEO, forgive me for not seeing clearly. I made a mistake in underestimating you. I beg for your mercy. Please, forgive me!" Benson pleaded.

Stanley had no idea what was happening. As soon as he heard the CEO would visit, he rushed here.

He hadn’t expected Ethan to arrive first, nor that something had happened between him and the staff.

“What happened?” Stanley asked, his expression dark.

It hadn’t been easy for him to reach the position of general manager. With the new branch just established, if his staff dared cause trouble with the CEO, it would cost him dearly.

“Mercy? So, if I don’t forgive you, I’m not merciful? Is that it?” Ethan asked coldly.

Benson was terrified, nearly wetting himself, tears gathering at the corners of his eyes.

“That’s not what I meant, sir! I admit my mistake; please, give me one more chance!”

"Get out!" Ethan snapped.

Zenith Group was his mother’s legacy; Ethan wouldn’t allow anyone to tarnish its reputation.

Benson still wanted to beg for mercy, but Stanley quickly kicked him and said, "Drag him out of here!"

Stanley was extremely cautious, having heard rumors about who Ethan truly was.

Ethan headed inside, and everyone was shocked at the sight of Stanley bowing respectfully to Ethan before quickly following him.

They had heard the CEO would be visiting. Judging by Stanley’s behavior, they now knew who Ethan really was.

"When Stanley first arrived in Lunaris City, many families visited him. But now, he's bowing to some young guy. This is unbelievable!"

"We know who Stanley is. Even if a tycoon from Lunaris City visited, he wouldn’t treat them like this. This young man must be Zenith Group’s CEO!"

"The CEO? Isn’t he too young? Wow, he’s already captured my heart!"

Ethan’s arrival had drawn everyone’s attention in the company.

"Gisel, look! The one walking in front of Stanley is Ethan, isn’t it?"

After wrapping up the hiring process, Audrey was surprised when she saw someone like Ethan in the lobby.

Gisel turned, but Ethan was already out of sight down the hall.

“Are you daydreaming? There’s no way Stanley would walk side by side with that worthless guy,” Gisel said, finding Audrey’s words ridiculous.

“But I’m confused. The person Stanley treated so well must be the CEO who was supposed to visit today,” Audrey said, scratching her head in bewilderment.

In a luxurious office at the top of the company, Ethan sat comfortably on a sofa, her eyes tightly shut, lips sealed.

Stanley approached cautiously, "CEO, you’ve gone out of your way to come here. There must be something you need me to handle. Whatever orders you have, I promise not to disappoint."

"Wait," Ethan replied calmly, his eyes still closed.

Time seemed to stretch out. Ethan kept his eyes shut, and the tense atmosphere weighed heavily on Stanley. Cold sweat began to pour down his body.

Ethan had asked him to wait. What were they waiting for? Was Ethan preparing something?

While Stanley’s mind was in turmoil, someone entered the room. Just as Stanley was about to scold them, the person handed Ethan a document. This guy is Max.

“Mr. Ethan, here is the document you requested!”

Ethan opened his eyes and began reading the document. As he went through it, his expression gradually darkened.

Stanley grew anxious, his gaze fixed on the document. An uneasy feeling rose within him.

Ethan threw the document down in front of Stanley, looking furious.

"Read that document out loud!"

Seeing Ethan’s anger made Stanley tremble. He quickly gathered the scattered papers.

But he stopped after reading just the first line silently. How could he dare read the rest?

The document detailed every one of Stanley’s wrongdoings as general manager in just under a month.

What made him shudder was that every time and place of his actions were meticulously recorded in that document.

Stanley immediately tried to rack his brain to find a way to escape all the evidence against him. He didn’t want everything to be exposed. His reputation was the one thing he valued above all else. To him, it was untouchable, and he would do anything to protect it.
