CHAPTER 07

Kenzie's POV:

“Are you sure you want to marry a woman you don't even know, anak?” My mother asked me. She was following me to our parking lot just to ask me this question.

I gave her a small smile before giving her a soft kiss on her forehead. “You don't have to worry about anything, Mom. Everything is under my control, Mommy. Okay?” I smiled at her.

“Kahit na, Kenzie! You're known for being a very successful man in the Philippines!” She pinched my arms. “Actually not just here! Baka mamamaya, abusuhin ka nung babae kahit pa sabihin mong isang taon lang ‘yan! What if golddigger ang makuha mo? Aba, you are from a wealthy family, hindi malabong hindi ka makakilala ng babaeng pers lang ang habol sayo!”

“Mom, calm down okay? Alam ko ginagawa ko. Besides, I don't care. I have too much money to spend on nothing. If my soon to be wife is a golddigger, then at least, I got a chance to help a poor woman like her, right?” I said. Totoo naman ang sinasabi ko. Masyado akong maraming pera, and hindi magigung problema kung gold digger ang mapupunta sa‘kin. I actually didn't mind that.

“What if you fall for her, Kenzie?! Ayoko ng babeng mahirap for you! The family that your Angkong talks about, is a poor family. Ayokong ma-inlove ka roon, okay?” Paalala niya bago ayusin ang buhok ko. “A year won't be a problem, right? Promise me that.”

“Of course, Mom. I promised.” I said, still smiling.

“I want you to marry my girl, Anak. Summer and you are still the one, okay?”

“Summer and I broke up a long time ago, Mommy.” Nakangiting sabi ko sa kaniya. “I won't go back to her life again. Ganoon din po siya.”

“But I want you both together!” sabi niya.

I kissed her cheek again before giving her a small smile. “I‘m going, Mommy.” Sagot ko na lang.

Hindi ko na hinintay ang sagot niya at sumakay na lang ako sa aking sasakyan. Nag-drive ako hanggang sa makarating ako sa condo unit. I gave my employee a task for tomorrow, because tomorrow is a busy day for us. Bukas kasi i-cecelebrate ang 89th birthday ni Lolo sa company, so we also need to prepare something. Isa pa, bukas na rin i-aannounce ang nalalapit kong kasal next month.

I'm actually not ready for this, even if I already know this thing when I was young.

Hindi naman sa hindi ako ready dahil sa mga sinasabi ni Mommy kanina. Hindi lang talaga ako ready, kasi alam kong kapag kinasal na ako kahit hindi ko mahal ‘yung babae, I know for sure that my thing or set up with Elijah will be end to. And that's the reason why I'm not ready for this thing yet.

I don't know. I really do find Elijah pretty, hot and sexy woman. She's also cute. Even though I don't love her, I'm still not ready to end things with her. Kahit pa s*x at katawan lang naman talaga ang habol namin sa isa‘t-isa.

Tinignan ko ulit ang cellphone ko para i-check, and the name says “Eli”. Fck, siya nga!

“Hey... Uhm I thought you're my friend, I'm sorry...” I said. “How‘s the party? It's ten pm, you shouldn't used your phone while you're having fun with your friends.” Sabi ko na lang, nahihiya na. Oh my God! I really thought she's my friend! God, I'm gonna kll Primo when Eli gets mad at me!

[Sayang, tapos na kasi party...] She said. She sounds tipsy. [Ah, tangina. Hilong hilo ako! Gagong alak ‘yan!] Sabi niya sa kabilang linya dahilan para mapakunot ako.

Is she updating me? Why? I'm so confused. This is not so very her.

“Uhm... Do you need help?” I asked. Sinubukan ko pang maging mas mabait dahil baka isipin niyang galit ako. Fck, I'm so fcking hard right now!

“Send me the location, I'll pick you up.”

Tumawa naman siya bago ibigay ang location. Mabuti na lang at malapit lang dito ang pinag-inuman nila kaya naman ilang minuto lang din ay naroon na ako sa tapat ng pinuntahan nilang magkakaibigan.

I immediately saw her red turband. Nakalugay ang buhok niya at nakaupo siya sa hagdanan, nakayuko at mukhang lasing na.

She looks so kawawa. I laughed with that. She's really cute, isn't she?

“Hey.” I called her. Umangat agad ang tingin niya sa‘kin, that's why I immediately saw her beautiful eyes. Mukhang antok na antok at lasing na siya.

She vomited. She fcking vomit at my clothes!

Hawak hawak ko ang dalawang braso niya, habang siya’y nakakapit sa damit ko. Puro na ako suka!
