The Lightbringer began the attack by surrounding Annabelle, Abigail and Nicodemus with pillars of hellfire that reached high into the sky and burned with intense heat. His army retreated several steps back. This was immediately followed up by an immense build up of magic from the mages around them. Mana flowed between them, proving that they had formed a circle. They had to be preparing for something big. But they weren't the biggest threat.
