Annabelle and Sarah walked around the catacombs and everywhere they went they were watched closely. The keen eyes of watchers from amidst the bright and colourful crowd followed them. These watchers all had the same tattoo of a blue eye on their hands surrounded by strange runes that were intricately intertwined in ways that hurt Annabelle's eyes to look at. The patterns and colours of these runes varied greatly. The only thing that they had in common was the complex design that made them difficult to look at. The meaning of the eye seemed rather obvious but the runes were beyond Annabelle's ability to decipher. They were unlike any she had ever come across before. They matched no system of symbols she was aware of and were most likely a language that had been invented down here. Annabel
