Chapter 4 :Trusting my instincts

Sonias Pov

As I entered the familiar school gates, I spotted my good friend Rose .

"Hey Rose I called out , a smile spreading on my face ." Long time no see !! How have you been?"

Rose returned the smile,her eyes filled with warmth ."Ive been good ,thanks Sonii..."

"Whats popping ?"Ive been watching a certain movie and its so exiting .

How about you ?"

A surge of anticipation coursed through me as I considered confiding in Rose ."What could I say to her ?That I have been day dreaming about my step dad ,whom I introduced to her in my first year of joining the University and stated to her that he had been in my life for so many years ...? "It was neither a good moment nor a perfect opportunity to share the secret that had been weighing on my heart .

"Well, I was busy with some house chores yesterday after school," I nervously told her as we made our way to the class as our usual routine .As we walked into our morning class,there was a new professor waiting for us at the front room .And let me tell you,the reaction from the students was priceless ! Especially the girls .They were absolutely astonished by his presence , and the whispers started like wildfire . It was like a scene from a movie , with everyone buzzling about the new professor and wondering who he was.

"Hello.,good morning students ,I am Sebastian ,your new profesor ",His voice silenced the entire room

I will be taking you through Mental Health Unit and im hoping you will all cooparate ,lets begin"

I overheard some of the girls talking about him ,unable to contain their curiosity .They were gushing about his good looks ,his charming smile ,and his stylish attire . It was like he had stepped right of fashion magazine or something! It was a mixture of excitement ,and a little bit of distraction ,to be honest !! As the class settled down and Sebastian started teaching,you could still feel the lingering excitement twist in the room .It was definately unexpected twist of our morning routine ,and I could not help but be amuzed by the reaction of the girls .

What happened was even more suprising .As he taught ,he could not keep his eyes off my friend Rose . It was like professor was completely captivated by her presence .Every time he turned to the class,his gaze would inevitably find its way to Rose .It was quit noticable ,and the other students could notice it too.

Rose on the other hand, seemed not bothered by that at all .Infact,it looked like she was quite interested in him too .Her eyes were practically in love with the professor ,if you catch my drift . I mean ,who can blame her right?Sometimes those unxpected connections just happen .Its like a scene straight out of a romantic movie .Roses reaction spoke volumes .It was as if they had their own secret language going on .You could feel the chemistry in the air ,and it definately had everyone buzzing with exitement . Probably they had known each other before or was it just unexpected connection .

Sebastian's lesson about Mental health was finally over .I dont know if most people understood it because I am sure their thinking was on looks ,voice and mostly the smile .Afterward I caught up with Rose near the university library .The sun was shining,casting a warm glow on the campus .We found a cozy bench sorrounded by blooming flowers .With a deep breath I began to pour out my heart unto her .

"Rose ..I really got something to talk about ".I stated looking away from her eyes

"What is it Sonia , ...Is everything okay between you and josh ??"

"Yeah everything is okay ....and speaking of that ,I havent seen Josh today actually .Guess he will chat me up later ."

"What I wanna tell you is about Edward my step dad ...There is just something sexual..."I began

:"Wait what ?? What did he do to you bestie ..did he touch you or something of sort ..talk to me.. "Rose interupted .

"Noo..saying that will be ruining his reputation .I dont know if im the one who is feeling this or its from both of us .I have been feeling a connection with him that goes beyond just a normal family .Its hard to explain ,but I think I have had feelings for him .I have noticed that he has been acting differently around me ,for the longest time ,like there is a spark between us .

I know this might sound strange and confusing to you but I wanted to be honest with you and get your perspective ."I bodly explained to Rose as she was listening carefully to me.

"Omg.What a scenario .You are really carrying something deep in your mind and heart Sonia .I have watched and read such cases about family affairs .Dont worry we will get through this together .Just avoid and assume that its just an assumption .You have known him for years and above all you got Josh ."Rose advised me .

"Okay..thankyou Rose and whats up with you and the new professor ..do u know him.He seemed so much into watching you .I asked her while smiling and ignoring the fact that I could not get over Edward ,my stepdad."

"No way have never seen him before but he looks amazing.I would not mind knowing him more especially now that im lonely .And above all, I achieve my O***sm by myself" ..She laughed .

We had other two units and the evening approached . Later we walked down the corridors with Rose,and the atmosphere was buzzling with excitement and intrigue.We could not help but feel a sense of adventure in the air .The soft lightining of sound our footsteps created a thrilling ambiance as we made our way through the pavements .The hallways were filled with animated conversations and laughters from fellow students ,adding to the lively atmosphere .It was as if the energy of the university was flowing through the corridors ,making every step more exciting .We could not help but get caught up in the spirit of it all .

So after bidding farewell to Rose,I quickly pulled out my phone and sent a text to Josh .I was so excited to see him ,especially since we had not crossed paths at school all day.It was time for us to finally meet up and catch up on everything that we had missed .

With a smile on my face I type out a message to Josh .

"Hey babe!Missed you today .Lets meet up and have some quality time together.Cant wait to see you!"I hit send and eagerly awaited for his response .

Time passed and Josh did not respond ,as I stood at our favorite spot waiting .Something seemed a miss here .I could not shake off the nagging feeling that something was off .So I decided to take matters into my own hands and went to check on him at his house .As I arrived ,my heart pounded with anticipation and anxiety .The gentle breeze from the sea carried a sense of tranquility ,providing a peceful backdrop to the unfolding drama .I know it might sound a bit sneaky ,but I wanted to understand what was happening and gather some information of what had happened to my loving boyfriend Josh.In that moment,I felt a mixture of emotions,when I heard a girl's laughter from Josh's house .Curiosity ,fear ,and a hint of guilt washed over me as I strained to hear their words .

" Ah...aaah ...Joo Please please ....Yeaah.."she sounded
