The encounter

My body was sprawled on the bed with a man I’d never seen before. His features were hard to define, shrouded in mystery, except for his piercing, bright yellow eyes that seemed to glow in the dim light. His gaze locked on me, and all I could focus on was the intoxicating sensation of him pressing against me, nestled between my thighs. My body trembled, every touch of his hands setting my nerves alight as he explored every inch of me. A trance of pleasure overtook me—one I’d never experienced before. Each second felt like an eternity as his deep, fervent kisses melted away my inhibitions. His voice, low and seductive, whispered in my ear, telling me how much he craved to be inside me, to take me fully, and thrust until I screamed his name. The tension in the air was electric, and just as the crescendo of pleasure reached an unbearable peak, I felt him slide my underwear down, his body poised, ready to push into me. But before I could feel the moment I was aching for, darkness suddenly enveloped me. Everything blurred, like I was being pulled into another dimension. My mind raced with questions, confusion mingling with the lingering heat of desire. I gasped, my eyes flying open as I bolted upright in bed. The room was quiet, save for the sound of my heavy breathing. I blinked, disoriented, until reality finally settled in. "Damn it," I muttered under my breath, rubbing my face. "Did I just have a wet dream?" The evidence was undeniable—my body was flushed, my skin damp with sweat, and... my underwear was drenched. A wave of embarrassment and frustration washed over me. I wasn’t a teenager anymore; what the hell was I doing having dreams like this? Still, I couldn’t deny how vivid it was. The heat of his touch, the depth of his voice, the way he made me feel utterly consumed... It was the kind of passion I’d never experienced in real life. And no matter how hard I tried to picture his face, it remained a blur, except for those hypnotic yellow eyes. Then, a strange detail surfaced in my mind—his words. "I can’t wait to meet you in person." That stopped me cold. My lips parted as I tried to process it. Why would my own dream concoct something so... specific? It was just a dream, though, right? Shaking my head, I decided to wash the whole thing away—literally. After a hot shower and a change into something more comfortable, I padded into the kitchen. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and my favorite breakfast—scrambled eggs paired with cream cheese jalapeño toast—helped ground me. It was a relief that it was the weekend; no work, no stress. Just a lazy morning to myself. As I savored the spicy, creamy bite of my toast, my phone buzzed loudly on the table. The caller ID showed it was Eva, my best friend. “Hey, mama! Goooood mooorrrniiiing!” Eva’s voice practically sang through the speaker. I winced, holding the phone a little farther away. “Girl, do you have to be so loud this early?” “Yes! I have to make sure you’re awake, of course!” she replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help laughing. Eva’s over-the-top energy was one of the things I loved most about her. “How can I help you today, Mrs. Eva?” I asked in my best professional tone. “Tsk, tsk. I’m here to confirm your presence, dear Liana, at the rendezvous tonight,” she said, hamming it up with a dramatic, posh accent. “Yes, Eva, I’ve told you every day this week—I’ll be there.” “I know,” she replied with a mock-serious tone. “But you can be flaky sometimes, so I’m not taking any chances.” I chuckled because, honestly, she wasn’t wrong. I had a bad habit of bailing last minute, especially if my mood shifted. “When you’re right, you’re right,” I admitted. “But I promise I’ll be there tonight. Now let me enjoy my breakfast in peace, nena. Love you, bye!” “Love you too!” Eva shouted before I hung up. With that settled, I finished the last bite of my toast and drained my coffee. I wanted to do some of my tasks to then have a moment of peace. I had the rest of the day to relax, but tonight was all about letting loose. A night out with Eva at the lounge was exactly what I needed to shake off the lingering haze of that strange, steamy dream. Eva and the girls insisted on picking me up, not wanting me to worry about driving so I could fully let loose tonight. I felt a spark of excitement bubbling up—maybe this was exactly what I needed. The night was perfect, with a clear sky and smooth traffic. Before I knew it, we had arrived, lucking out with the very last available parking spot. The line to the club wrapped around the block, but of course, Eva had her connections. Within minutes, we were ushered in, skipping the crowd and stepping into the pulsating heart of the lounge. The bass thumped through the floor, vibrating in my chest. The flashing lights, swirling in shades of purple and blue, made everything feel electric. Eva led the charge, practically dragging me and our three other friends—Maya, Zara, and Camille—straight to the bar. “Ladies, tonight is our night!” Eva declared, throwing her arms in the air dramatically. I couldn’t help but laugh, rolling my eyes. “It’s always ‘our night,’ Eva.” “Exactly! And we should celebrate that consistency!” Eva grinned before ordering a round of tequila shots for everyone. The first drink burned in the best way possible, leaving me lighter and more carefree as we moved to the dance floor. The five of us swayed to the music, laughing and exchanging small talk between songs. As the night went on, the crowd thickened, and the energy of the room intensified. I danced with my friends, letting the music take over as my worries melted away. But then, out of nowhere, a strange shiver ran down my spine. It felt like someone was watching me. I paused mid-step, glancing around. The room was packed—bodies moving together in a blur of motion under the shifting lights—but I couldn’t shake the feeling. I turned my head slowly, scanning every corner of the space. Nothing stood out—no familiar faces, no obvious stares—but the unease lingered, wrapping itself around me like a shadow. “Liana!” Eva called, bumping my hip playfully. “You okay?” Blinking, I snapped back to reality. “Yeah... yeah, I’m fine,” I said, forcing a smile. I tried to shake it off, joining back in and letting the music distract me, but the feeling stayed. It was subtle but persistent, like something hovering just out of sight. An hour passed. The music slowed, shifting into a sultry rhythm, and I decided I needed a break. “I’ll be back,” I told the girls. “Bathroom.” They waved me off, too lost in their fun to ask why I was leaving. The hallway to the restroom was quieter, the music muffled but still pulsing faintly. Inside the dimly lit bathroom, I leaned over the sink and gripped the edges tightly, my reflection staring back at me. I turned the faucet on, letting cold water run over my hands before splashing it on my face. The chill grounded me, easing the flush in my cheeks. “Get it together,” I muttered to myself, brushing damp strands of hair back into place. Taking a deep breath, I straightened up and stepped out into the chaos again. My eyes immediately found my friends clustered near the bar. Relief flickered through me—but it didn’t last. Before I could make my way to them, I felt it. A hand wrapped around my arm, firm but not forceful. I gasped, spinning around to face whoever it was. My free hand instinctively landed on their chest, and I froze. He stood tall and broad, his presence radiating strength and something else—something magnetic. My eyes met his, and I forgot how to breathe. Those eyes... glowing faintly yellow, sharp and intense yet impossibly soft at the same time. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out. His grip shifted, not rough but steady, as if to keep me from losing my balance. His lips curled into a small smile, tender and knowing, as he leaned in just slightly. “I found you,” he said, his voice low and warm, sending a shiver down my spine. My heart pounded, the noise of the club fading away until it was just him and me in that moment. I couldn’t move, couldn’t look away, couldn’t even think. It was as if his gaze had pinned me in place, and I didn’t want to break free.
