But it all blurred into the background the second his hand brushed mine again. “I’ve seen you before,” Raiden said, tone low and unreadable. “You have?” “Yeah.” His eyes slid over me, not like a man undressing a woman, but like he was stripping away every version of myself I’d ever pretended to be. “You were with Colt once. Long time ago.” I blinked. My spine straightened instinctively. “That was nothing.”
