Avery: The day started like any other. Chaos from the moment I walked through the door, nurses running between rooms, IVs dripping, monitors beeping, patients calling out from every corner. But something felt different, an itch in the back of my mind. Like there was a weight hanging in the air. I walked into the nurses’ station, barely catching a breath before my eyes landed on it.
