Knox: Viv climbed out of my lap without a word, her bare feet padding quietly across the floor. I let my eyes follow her, still warm from where she’d been curled into me. That soft, sleepy expression she wore when she thought I wasn’t looking? I lived for it. But right now, there was something sharper in her stride. Intent. Determination.
