-Enigmia-
Why did he say he was sorry… It was amazing. Maybe he changed his mind… What if he thought this was a mistake? I think to myself. Confusion evident on my face… “Did I do something wrong?” I asked but was unsure whether I wanted to hear the answer. My body tensed underneath him. “No Love, you were perfect,” he stated, putting my thoughts to ease. “It is my fault, I should have pulled out….” he said guiltily. My brows furrowed trying to make sense of what he was trying to say, and then it dawned on me…. “Oh,” I looked at him, but I did not feel sorry about it at all. “Micah, if it’s meant to be, then you have nothing to be sorry about” I say to him softly. He looked up at me, confused, “Enigmia, are you aware that I could have impregnated you?” he asked cautiously. I smiled back at him, “Yes, I am aware now of our situation, but I accept it as long as it is with you,” she assured me. I closed my eyes for a brief moment, and a smile crept onto my face. “I don’t deserve your love, you are too good to me.” He laid down next to me and lifted me, so I lay halfway over his torso. “Let's get some sleep,” he said with a huge smile and he closed his eyes. I watched him for a while until sleep crawled upon me. I felt like the luckiest woman alive tonight.
-Micah-
I felt her gaze on me last night until she fell asleep. I still could not believe that she admitted that she would be proud to carry my child. I did not deserve someone like her. She gave my life new meaning. I swear I was the luckiest man alive. I slid out underneath her, leaving her to sleep a while longer as I went outside to prepare breakfast. As I reached the fire pit, I noticed Remu had already prepared the fire pit and, with a snap of his fingers, the pit lit up.
I blinked a few times before I spoke. “I need to get used to that,” I said as I went to the cooler to get some meat. He chuckled, “Sorry I did not see you there.” He looked different today, well rested. The dullness in his eyes lifted. “Micah, do you know what her prophecy is called?” he asked and my brows furrowed. What did he mean by her prophecy? "Sorry I did not know you weren’t aware," he apologized. "No, I did not, but now you have my full attention, please elaborate," I said, giving him my full attention. He started by stating that Enigmia is a tribrid which I was already aware of, but he mentioned that a tribrid always has a prophecy linked to them, leaving me speechless. Then he mentioned that she is the Queen of witches, warlocks and wizards, and her Wolf and Demon will both be highly ranked, possibly Princesses if not Queens. My mouth hung open taking in this unexpected information. “She will have other mates,” he mentioned without thinking, and my jaw clenched as I felt my blood boil from this unacceptable information. There was no way anyone except me touched her. "Oh, sorry I'm sure you did not want to know that," he apologized, but my body was already tensed up. He looked at me cautiously. “Do you feel anything when you touch her?” he asked. “Why?” I answered back with a question. He admitted that he knew I was a hunter and a dangerous one at it. That was why he kept his distance, but he also confessed that he felt a tendency to submit to me, which confused him. He was trying to make sense of it. “When you say you are willing to give up your life to be with her, why has she not marked you yet?” he asked. I never thought of it. Maybe now that I might have gotten her in trouble last night, it might not be a bad idea. My mind was trying to figure out whether to do it now or at a later stage. I knew a prophecy meant danger towards her and being marked might change me, it would give me a link to her. I could protect her better this way. “It was our first night together. I have not met her demon or wolf yet,” I stated. He looked shockedwhich made me uncomfortable. Why would he be so concerned? “Dude, I will call you King one day, but you need your mark if you ever think of saving her.” I smashed him into a tree, “What do you mean?” I threatened him, as my eyes squinted. “I can’t change it, but I am way older than I look, decades older Micah, she will be taken, you need her mark.” I stated the facts. “MICAH, leave him at once”, I heard Enigmia scowl from behind me and my grip left him instantly, leaving him falling to the floor, I smirked. I turned and smiled towards her, scratching the back of my neck. “Morning Love, did you rest well?” I asked innocently.
-Remu-
“It’s fine Mia, I’m fine, just men talking, nothing serious,” I defended Micah. His eyes snapped towards me, confused as to why I would defend him. I walked past him with a smirk. “You are so whipped, my King,” I whispered in a mocking tone only so he would hear. I watched the two of them cautiously, I could see Micah was bothered by something. He reached her and smirked. "Have you rested well, love?" His eyes softening. “Better than ever,” she replied, reaching up to kiss him. “Micah, what was that about?” she asked him. He looked toward the tree and back to me. “Nothing love, just a small misunderstanding,” he tried to calm her mind. If that was his small understandings, I would be concerned to see his big misunderstandings. “Don’t dare lie to me, Micah Huntley, I will not stand for it,” she reprimanded him. “I promise Love, I will try harder,” he said, pursing his lips together. She studied his face and seemed like she had decided to trust him. “Good, because there can be no ‘us’ if this is your way of dealing with situations.” she said while turning around to retreat to a chair. My eyes grew wide, knowing what was about to happen. She had just crossed a dangerous line with her words flowing carelessly out of that mouth of hers. I saw disaster right in front of me, still busy in a heated conversation. I saw as his jaw clenched. I need to get the others out of this area so they can settle their differences. "Sheri Love lets go for a walk and let these two settle their differences. Belle, I advise you to join us or go do anything else except being here." Her eyebrows knit in confusion until she remembered the situation when she fetched Jess. "Oh, Um, OK, let's go see what we can go catch for supper then," she half sprinted towards us.
