Chapter 32

-Micah- My heart broke seeing her this way. I did not want to hurt her, but I needed to pretend just a little while longer before I disappeared with her. Please, my love just be strong, I kept chanting in my head. If only I could have found a way to see her earlier, but they had guards everywhere, I tried to phone Jess just to find out that the line was cut as well as my cellphone signal. I cursed Vanessa, hating her more and more every moment. Watching her parade all chuffed and Nathan following her every step like a f*****g lapdog. The priest asked, and I answered, "I don’t." The whole room gasped, Vanessa started to try and calm everyone, stating it was just a misunderstanding. I already noticed Enigmia left when the word ‘I’ left my mouth. f**k she did not hear the ‘don’t’ part, my eyes shifted to Jess, and she looked at the door. My heart felt so heavy, and I knew this was her feelings pouring into me. No Love, it is not what you think I say to myself. Vanessa grabbed my arm, but I bolted right out of her hands towards the door, I needed to find her. The skies darkened, and I heard the thunder, I knew she was having a power struggle with Raven. Oh Raven, please forgive me. -Vanessa- I ran after Micah, calling out to him as I left the building. Standing in the middle of the entertainment area, I watched the thunderous darkness over the village, the wind was abnormally strong. I turned towards Jess, the councilors were standing right behind her. “Jess, stop your daughter's madness, what is this about?” I spat in anger. I watched Jessica straighten herself and walk toward me. She had never behaved like this before. I did not feel comfortable with her composure and felt fear reaching into my every being. She stopped right in front of me. I told you, I begged you, you knew they weren’t meant to be. "Wh… Who is your daughter?" “My daughter is the one that belongs to your grandson, and he will be her savior, but you had to meddle in the gods' affairs. You will cause my daughter great pain and suffering. You will lose a grandson and if he fails to save her, this world will come to an end.” My mouth hung. "What do you mean, Jessica, the one councilor asked in confusion." “Ladies and gentlemen, my daughter is 'The Red Opal Prophecy'.” "I am not allowed to meddle in the Gods prophecies, but I have tried my best to warn you against this allegiance." I stood there completely shocked by her revelation, what have I done… I still wanted to ask her as to how we could stop this, but she lifted her hand and she was gone. -Jeremy- “A white witch warned you against the allegiance between Micah and my daughter, and you ignored it?” I attacked her with my words. “Jeremy, she said nothing about a Prophet…—” but was cut short “because she is not allowed to. She is a f*****g white witch. You know they are not to meddle, and then you put her only daughter in danger who might destroy this very world. Do you even know what 'The Red Opal Prophecy' means?” I spat back. This village was completely mismanaged. How is it that I only noticed it now? "Guards get our things ready, we are leaving. Sheri, get in more comfortable clothes. You will be joining us. There is nothing in this village for you." I threw my demands at my men left, right and center, then Remu appeared. “You're still alive, I see, I shouted towards him.” amused that after all the attempts, I tried to kill him, he still tried to make peace. I looked around myself, at the situation of this village due to our hunters' stubbornness then my eyes drifted to my daughter. I saw her eyes begging not to harm him. I’m afraid I might lose her if I keep up this charade. “What do you want warlock?” testing him. -Remu- Sir Cross, It is true that I am deeply in love with your daughter, but I will leave in peace if you can promise not to force her to marry anyone she does not agree to marry. Let her find someone she feels the same about, I say, holding my hand over my heart while my face twists from the pain caused by my words, but if this was what would keep her safe, it was worth the sacrifice. “You are sacrificing your bond with my daughter? Why?” The question came amused that he was willing to give her up. Supernaturals don’t sacrifice their bond easily. “For her safety, Sir, and for her to keep her relationship with her father. She needs you, Sir,” I said, every word slicing through me as I grabbed my shirt right above my heart. “Then will you stay away?” I asked to confirm I heard him correctly and he nodded. “No, REMU, No Please Father, I beg,” tears spilling from her face. Her father looked at her and commanded the one guard to fetch a face cloth. He looked towards me, tears running down my face but silently in order to not upset her any further. “Sir, the archers are ready to take him down,” his guard confirmed, and I heard Sheri gasp, looking up to him. He closed his eyes and shook his head, “Tell the men to stand down and Remu to get in the f*****g car, we need to talk,” he demanded. I have no idea what I was walking into, but here goes nothing. Before I reached the car, I took my thumb and wiped away her tears. “You’ll be safe now love, just stay with your father, for me, promise.” I asked. Tears running down her cheek again. "Please promise, I need to know that you will be safe and there is no one better than your father to make sure of that. I need you to promise." I kept saying until she nodded and whispered softly. “I love you Remu, only you,” she declared, and I gave her a soft smile as I disappeared behind the car door. -Micah- I was basically sprinting toward the area my gut feeling gave me. Her mark pulled me towards her, which she obviously knew as she disappeared each time I reached a specific destination. Suddenly, my heart clenched, and I fell to my knees. f**k, that was intense but the pull… the pull disappeared… Why can't I feel her? I needed to try harder and a sudden darkness overtook me…
