-Jessica-
Busy indulging myself with a cup of coffee while reading a book, Enigmia, Sheri and Remu suddenly appeared in the lounge and I spilled some of it over my book, “Enigmia, do you want to give me a heart attack by just appearing out of nowhere?” I reprimanded with irritation. Shocked at seeing Remu. I noticed his hand bleeding, but instead of assisting, I squinted my eyes at him. "What are you doing here, Remu, what mischief can you possibly be up to now?" I spat at him. He ignored me, trying to calm Sheri, who got a fright due to my boldness towards him. “No, are you serious?” the words left my mouth without thinking. My words drew his attention instantly. “Jessica, I know it has been a very long time and I apologize for everything I have done in the past, but please, I just want to keep her safe and live a peaceful life with her by my side.” He said sincerely, I actually believed him. “Are you telling me the biggest mischief-maker of all time is trading his ways for a woman?”, I questioned him looking at him in a serious manner. “Yes, Jessica, I will die for her if I have to”, he stated a gasped escaping my mouth as I stared at him with a shocked look, noticing everyone staring, I shook my head “Just come here so I can look at you stupid hand” I say grabbing it and pulling off the torn shirt, my eyes grew, “Who shot you, I mean is there other hunters in the forest”, he smiled nope, This was Sheri’s work and my head lifted to her in shock. I did not expect that answer. Her eyes turned away, but I saw the tear running down her cheek. “So, after all these decades, Remu, have you eventually met your match?” I asked, watching his cheeks change color to a tinge of pinkness. “Yeah, and she is fearless. You should have seen her. I was proud of her,” he confessed, her head snapped towards him, “But I shot you,” she said, heartbroken. “Yes, you did, and it saved us both. You are amazing love,” he said. I knew she needed the confirmation as I saw the guilt eating her alive and this was my way of routing the conversation so she could understand that he was not disappointed. Leaving the room, I went to fetch a vial from my cupboard, I squeezed the dropper and dropped two drops into the wound. Your magic should be back soon but not at full strength, so try to rest.
-Enigmia-
I was sitting picking at my nails, what was taking them so long. Maybe I should just teleport to the campsite and see if everything was still fine. “Stop picking Enigmia, Micah will be here soon, he never fails,” Jess stated, trying to calm my nerves, but it was impossible. "Sweetheart, try eating something. I am sure they will pitch up tonight."
"Jess stop, nothing you say will make me feel better until he stands right in front of me," I shouted with frustration as I left upstairs. I knew I had hurt her, but I was worried, and it seemed like no one cared whether they were safe. I needed to know whether he was safe. I teleported to the back of the cottage and started making my way towards the forest. I could not stand the fact that he was not returning. As I wanted to cross the border, I heard him shout in a dangerous warning tone from the village side, "Exactly where do you think you are off to?" Walking with speed towards me. “I asked you to stay with Jess,” he said. My eyes started watering, and I saw his expression soften. "Micah." I jumped into his arms, holding him tightly. "I thought something might have happened." He hugged me tightly before he dropped me to the ground. "We have to be careful in the village love," and I lost my patience slapping him "What took you so long, do you want me to have a heart attack?" my anger seeped through. He pushed me into his chest, "Sorry I took too long, Love, Belle got hurt. I had to take her to the doctors first," he explained, and my face drained of color. “She is fine Mia, she just sprained her ankle,” he reassured me, and I released a breath I did not even notice holding.
-Micah-
I needed to get to Jess urgently to discuss how we were going to handle this. We also have Remu now, and I did not feel comfortable just throwing him back into the forest. Even though he had this ability to piss me off, there was something about him that I liked. I tried forcing my way to Jess’s cottage, but my body fought every movement leading back to the forest. I was frustrated. How can I not even control it… and then I saw her right in front of the forest. Why would she not listen? I clearly stated that they should stay with Jess until I returned. We had some words but when she stated she thought something went wrong due to me taking so long, my heart softened instantly. I should have updated them when I got to the hospital. I had to get more focused, I kept failing her safety. I promised her that I would do my best to update her on everything from now on, but we have to be careful in the village area. I saw her lip pouting and started laughing. “I know my love, a little longer, then we can be free.”
We left towards Jess’ cottage. As Enigmia entered, Jess’ eyes grew. “You were just in your room, Enigmia, how…” she started scowling, but Enigmia interrupted. “Sorry Jess, I could not wait and no one wants to help, so I…” before she could finish Jess grabbed my chin. “Please tell me this is not Enigmia’ mark?” she hissed. “Well Jess I can tell you that if that is what you want to hear, but forgive me when you find out that I did not tell the truth” I stated. “This is mine now, I am not afraid to wear it, do you have a problem with that?” I asked, infuriated by her reaction. “I don’t know enough yet, I’m unsure whether this will cause more trouble.” she said concerned.
A sudden darkness broke through Enigmia. She was furious. Remu fell to the ground instantly and, to my surprise, Jess went down with him. “I accept this and no one is to question it, do we understand?” she stated more to Jess than the others. “Yes, Queen Raven” she answered fearfully. Enigma walked towards me, placing her hand over the mark. The warmth radiated from her as I drowned myself into Raven's purple eyes, giving her a soft smile, "What have you done? Is it still there?" I ran to the nearest mirror, her mischievous laughter filling the air. “Yes, Micah, we accept you and that mark proves it, but only the people in this room can see it. I have hidden it from the eyes of others until the time is right,” she said proudly. "Jess, the answers you seek lie in the secret library chamber of the black pack."
