Chapter 9

-Enigmia- Amy was exceptionally beautiful with the golden markings, but stubborn as hell itself. She denied me control, and now I am stuck between somewhere and nowhere. I don’t know how I am going to get out of this. “Amy, please, I don’t want to fight you, but I really need control back”, half begging her to give me back control. She only laughed at me, saying Jessica loved her and I didn’t deserve her because I was mean to her and I will never beat her in a fight. She was impossible. Akeelah laughed, “I told you she was something else.” Akeelah, I need to get back. How? Enigmia, we are all part of each other, and Amy, the only reason Enigmia struggled was because of you and your stubbornness to accept yourself, she shouted out to her. Once she gets control, you won’t have the opportunity to come out again because of your behavior. Amy went quiet. I think I am losing it completely. I belong in a freaking facility with this type of behavior, I thought to myself. “She won’t dare do that,” Amy came back at us eventually. I will figure it out, Amy, so enjoy it outside while you can, because I agree with Akeelah, if you can’t behave you don’t deserve to have freedom again. After a while, she answered, "OK, OK, but can I have supper with Jessica first? Please, Enigmia, don’t keep me locked up," she asked me, as if she was afraid. "That’s fine, Amy, but then I need control, and I promise I won’t keep you locked up," I smiled, answering her. Akeelah, I think Amy is under the impression that she is unworthy, she has a fear of being rejected. Yes, I think you might have a point. I never thought of it that way. So while Amy enjoyed supper with Jess, Akeelah and I got some time to get to know each other. -Vanessa- Morning gentlemen, I greeted the council. "I have come to bring you some great news." "It seems Micah has taken an interest in Sheri." I say with enthusiasm and excitement. The men looked at each other with amusement, "Congratulations Vanessa, he surely did take his time." "We need to set up the appointment with Jessica to make sure our future will lead to success." My smile broadened at their acceptance and I answered, "Agreed, I will contact her immediately to set the appointment." "I will inform our two lovebirds to be present at that date, and we can close the agreement with Mister Cross once we have Jessica’s blessing," I said firmly. The council nodded and we closed the discussion. I picked up the phone and dialed the number, “Jessica, how are you keeping up?” I heard the shock in her voice, “Vanessa, what possibly could have happened to bring me the honor of hearing from you?” I knew she meant that in a sarcastic way. We weren’t very fond of each other. "Micah had taken an interest in a woman. It seemed like it might turn into something serious, and we would need your advice on the future of the couple," I announced proudly, annoyed at hearing her sigh at the other end of the phone. "Fine, I will be there in two weeks' time and my daughter will be accompanying me." She agreed and a gasped left me, “Your daughter?” I confirmed, and she chuckled, "Yes Vanessa, witches can have a family too." "Very well, Jessica, I will make accommodation arrangements for the two of you." I gave a small chuckle, “No need, Vanessa, we will be leaving afterward.” "Oh, OK Jessica, I will see you and your daughter in two weeks' time then." -Micah- Sheri and I were sitting on a blanket, she told me about her warlock lover and we had some good laughs. As we discussed our plans and how we would lay out our path forward, others stared at us with amusement, thinking we were deeply in love. Some even said it must have been love at first sight. We had great laughs about the things they came up with, but we were committed to our agreement. We even had a backup plan should anything fail. We gave all our time just to each other from the moment we woke up. We trained together, had picnics, dates, everything a normal couple would go through, we would hold hands, hug, but one thing was off limits. I was not prepared to kiss… that was my one rule and she agreed immediately. It turned out to be the perfect plan. -Jessica- I would have had the meeting with Vanessa earlier, but my first obligation was to my daughter Enigmia. She turned out to be a tribrid and I needed answers. I knew tribrids only came into play with Prophecies, the question was which one. My entire library was scattered with scrolls of prophecies, and then I read it probably three times, begging it not to be true… Eyes of grass, Heart of glass, A shattered soul will end the world. If you fail, Your loss is great; Within the Hunters lay the great escape. I grabbed the phone and started dialing. My whole body was trembling. “Belle, Belle, when can you come up to see me?” I stuttered nervously over the phone. "Jess, what is the matter?" "Is something wrong?" she asked in an alert voice. I told her that I preferred to discuss it in person, as it concerned Enigmia. Silence filled the line, then she suddenly she spoke, "I'm on my way now, I'll be there an hour." "Thank you," I say as I cut the line. I went upstairs and noticed Enigmia busy in the kitchen. I walked over with a smile, looking at her lovingly. Her brows knitted together as she noticed me, “Are you alright Jess?” she asked with a broad smile, “Yes sweetheart, but I need to have a word with all of you.” I saw her smile fade. Does she maybe think she did something wrong? I was sure we were past that stage, but she kept thinking the worst to happen. "Enigmia, Akeelah, Amy, have you guys ever tried working together?" That way, Enigmia will have more control over her magic as the fighting and clashing with each other throws off the balance. What I am trying to say is that you have to accept each other and see yourself as one instead of three different entities. "Oh," I heard her say. "I will talk to them, but I am up to that." "I love my two new friends," she said enthusiastically. I nod my head. “Enigmia, I think it is time you knew more about your friends, follow me,” I said as I made my way back to the library. We entered the room and Enigmia gasped, "Jess, what happened to your library?" "It looks disastrous." I chuckled, "I sometimes also mess up with my magic and, well, now you are looking at it." "But you are not here for this." My finger pointed to the books I picked one , moving downward on the shelf, nope one more down and yep, this one I say to myself as I took it out. "These are for you, it is everything about werewolves and demons. It should help you to understand them more…" "May I take them to the training ground," she asked excitedly. I laughed at her excitement. Of course, and when you see Belle, tell her to see me in the library, I shouted out as she dashed out of the room...
