The long thanksgiving weekend was coming to an end as our whole family for once was sitting together in the same room. Dad was reading the newspaper, Cody was on his phone while me and mom were watching legally blonde while stuffing our face with leftover desserts.
“Ruth have you finalized the colleges you are going to apply for?” putting away his newspaper, dad directed the question at me out of nowhere.
“I am working on my application for a few colleges of designing and researching more but all the good ones are a few states over” I replied, stressing over the application now that I am reminded of it.
