Two weeks later and Claire was still giving Eric the silent treatment. She never looked towards his direction even by accident. Even the times when he greeted her, she would act as though he was invisible and not spare him a glance.
Eric wondered what he would do to make her forgive him. One day, he summoned the courage to talk to her while they were in the hallway during recess.
He walked behind her and said "hello"
She clearly heard him but pretended not to. She kept on putting her books inside her bag.
"Claire"
"Attention students" came the voice from the speaker "as you are all aware, the end of the year high school prom is coming. And it's also the event for the biggest crown on this campus."
