Morning jogging

Chapter 6 Ariel POV To cut the long story short, I went to bed yesterday hungry, after I made their bed. I didn't have enough sleep all through the night, since my stomach couldn't stop making noise. I thought I won't last the night, but glory be to God, I woke up this morning, breathing fine, although my body was weak and I felt like I was going to die. My phone beeped while I was still on the bed, and I lazily reached out for it, swiping the unlock button to see that it was a message from Amy. 'Good morning, sis. Did you sleep well? Working as a maid would be very tiring for you, so I decided to send you a text since you must be busy sleeping after a long day of work. I'm sorry you are going through all these hard times just to put me through. May the good God guide and protect you over there. I love you, sis' I smiled after I read her text, feeling a tinge of hope, and the reason to be strong and keep pushing. 'Thank you, sweetheart. I'm fine, and you don't have to say that, ok? It is my responsibility to take care of you, and that is exactly what I'm doing. I will be fine, ok? I will find time to hang out with you on one of these weekends. I love you too, baby girl' I replied to her message and dropped my phone on the bed before I stood up and dragged myself into the bathroom to wash my face. Since it was still very early in the morning, I changed into my sport wears and left my room to do my usual morning routine of jogging in the morning, since it was what I'd been doing since I turned ten. I have literally been doing that for thirteen years, and there was no single day I never went out for jugging, except for the days I was sick. I jug when I feel distressed and when I feel confused. In short, jogging makes me always forget my pain and replace it with excitement, so that was why I enjoyed doing it. I didn't see the two boys when I got to the living room, so I left without telling anybody. Their house was on a big estate which I found out their dad owns lately. Since I was not familiar with this place yet, I just jogged in the neighborhood. After jogging for about twenty minutes nonstop, I stopped to catch my breath, but I ended up tripping and falling flat to the floor. My chest was hurting, my breath was so messed up that I couldn't even stabilize it, my heart was beating fast, and I could feel the movement of my blood. "s**t!" I cursed under my breath as I grabbed a handful of my hair, trying to calm myself. "You should get some rest if you are tired," I heard a strange voice, and I quickly snapped my head up to see a tall figure standing in front of me with his hands stretched forward, probably to help me up, I don't know. The sunlight brushed the back of his neck, penetrating my eyes, making it difficult for me to get a picture of what he looked like, but when I finally took his hand and he pulled me up to my feet, my mouth dropped open in shock at the sight that welcomed me. "You shouldn't be here... Cars do pass here sometimes, and it's really dangerous being in the middle of the expressway. There's a bench over there. Maybe you should rest there for some time," I saw his small heart-shaped lips move for seconds, but I could only get a few of the things he said, and that was because I was busy drooling over this handsome man standing in front of me. As his pair of brown eyes pierced at me, I felt my heart miss a beat. He was the definition of perfection. Smooth skin that glowed under the sunlight, thick black hair that was scattered on his head after the run, sexy body that was covered in sweat, long eyelashes that made me get so jealous of him, and thick eyebrows that made me question my appearance. He looked like one of those Korean actors I do see on big screens, but he was different from them. His broad chest and sexy toned abs that were visible through his wet shirt that was clinging to his body told me that this man was either an actor, a singer, or a model. Or maybe he just liked going to the gym. "Are you ok, miss?" His voice snapped me back to reality, and I quickly turned my face away in embarrassment. "Oh, yes, I'm fine. Thanks a lot for that. I'm fine," I nodded my head as I tried to be confident, but f**k! I couldn't help it. Not when his eyes were boring invisible holes in my body. "Alright. Are you new to the estate? I've not seen this face before," He raised his eyebrows, and I nodded my head. "Yes, I'm new here," I replied to him, and he slowly nodded his head. "Oh, right... I thought as much. Anyway, you should be careful here next time. There are securities here, and they are not nice. Bye," His smile could get any woman to fall for him. He had the perfect dentition ever. Gosh! He's so cute. "Bye," I managed to reply to him as I watched him walk away, and I sighed briefly. "Oh, s**t! I didn't ask for his name," I mumbled as I ran my fingers through my hair, releasing a deep breath. Just when I was about to start heading home, my phone suddenly started ringing, and I rolled my eyes when I checked it and found out that it was Trevor. Wondering how I got his number? Well, their mom saved their numbers on my phone before she gave it to me. "Are you not going to give me my car keys, huh? I have somewhere to go!" He snapped at me as soon as I answered the call, and I sighed briefly. "I'll be back soon," I replied to him and banged the call on him. I guess my work would be starting officially today. I arrived at the mansion in less than ten minutes, and I stopped when I walked inside the living room and found them sitting together. "Where the hell are you coming from?" Trevor snapped at me as soon as I walked in, and I shut my eyes for seconds as I took a deep breath. "I went for a jog..." "And who permitted you to do that?" Travis yelled as he sprang up to his feet, and I bit my bottom lip. "Your mom didn't tell me to always ask for your permission when I'm going out," I mumbled nervously as I turned my face away, and Trevor scoff. "Just get me my car keys. I have somewhere important to go," Trevor uttered as he ran his fingers through his hair, and I sighed briefly. "I would have to go with you to wherever you are going to," He snapped his head up to look at me, his eyes blazing with anger. "What the hell did you say?" He asked as he stood up to his feet...
