Eden: "oh yeah? and what exactly is other people that you see?" I said raising one of my eyebrows. "your nice" she said as I scoffed. "Nice? I barley like anybody" I said looking at her "than why are you nice to me?" she said still looking at me. "because its..." I said before she caught me off "and don't say its because of Adam" she said looking at me. "but it is Adam" I said looking at her.

"Than why isn't Adam here he should be the one who is here and not you what are you his bodyguard?" she said with her arms crossed in front of her. "ah no that's not it anyways its hard to explain" I said trying not to go into it more. "do you like me?" she said looking at me.

"ah..why so suddenly that question?" I said scratching the back of my head. "Just curious you would say or respond that's all and why are you still here in my house shouldn't you get going?" She said pushing me towards the door. "are you kicking me out?" I said as I was pushed towards the door.

"yup you been here for too long and also I noticed that you only come when I am in danger or something how do you know when to come?" she said now stopping me from pushing me any further. "your right maybe I should go" I said as I tried to walk out the house only to get pulled back. "uh uh answer my question first you can't leave until you tell me" she said looking at me.

"are you keeping me hostage?" I said raising my eyebrows. "m-maybe?" she said sounding more like a question. "well than you should ask for some ransom" I said leaning towards her as our faces were inches apart. I can hear her heart beating out of chest and her face was turning red now that I was looking at her closely she was kinda cute I stared down on her lips they were pinkish they looked smooth just so tempting.... knock it off Eden get a hold of yourself I cleared my throat and moved away from her.

"I should probably go now" I said as she just nodded without saying anything and moved away from the door. I walked out after I waved at her and started walking home. Darn it I should have brought my car I was in a hurry cause Adam wanted to take over but I couldn't let him be in control cause god knows what he could do.

I walked in my house as I was greeted by my maids. "Honey when did you leave weren't you upstairs?" my mom said looking at me. "I had to stop somewhere real quick " I said making my way through the stairs. "without your car? that's a first you never leave your car it must have been important" she said as I just nodded.

"Did you go and see my daughter-in law?" she said smiling. "Huh?" I said looking at her. "oh come on I can smell her on you she has a nice scent by the way" she said as I just chuckled a little and continued to go up the stairs. "dinner will be done in a few" she said shouting from downstairs I don't know why she insist on cooking when we have maids for that.

I got inside my office it's been awhile since I been in this room I got things to catch up with I went to look at the papers on my desk and sat down on my seat. suddenly I heard my wolf instinct tingle another wolf in my territory.

I hurried downstairs and just sighed in relief. "well hello stranger" the girl in front of said smiling. Lucy my Beta "Lucy what are you doing back here?" I said looking at her as she just came in for a hug and I hugged her back but than she backed away and looked at me confused. "you hang around humans now?" she said looking at me. "something like that" I said.

"Hi honey" my mom said coming out of the kitchen to hug Lucy "Hi Ms. Wilson as she gave back the hug. "anyways what are you doing back here?" I said still asking her. "Cause I miss you" she said looking down. "Lucy I am sure you missed my mom and not me" I said looking at her and she just smiled.

"So Eden found his mate" my mom said smiling. "oh..." is what Lucy all said she seemed a little sad about it "so that's what I smelled on you" she said and I just nodded and she started playing with her fingers. Anyways it's good to have you back how long are you staying?" I said looking at her.

"I am not leaving anymore I am here to stay by your side as your beta should " she said and I just raised my eyebrow. "That's new" I said looking at her as she walked upstairs and I followed her into my room. "your room is still the same nothing changed" She said looking at the room.

"Well duh I like it this way and it's going to stay this way" I said as she went to sit on my bed and I went to sit next to her. "you know I don't like people on my bed" I said looking at her. "well I am your only friend and Beta so I am not counted as anyone" she said looking at me as she started to lean in I quickly got off the bed.

"uh my mom is making dinner I don't know why she insist on cooking but she is doing it" I said clearing my throat. "I love your mom cooking it's the best" she said smiling. We headed downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was cooking.
