Leo was in the office, nose deep in approving budgets for the next month, when his phone rang. He dug it out of his pocket and saw Ryan was calling him.
“Yeah?”
“You busy?” Ryan asked.
Leo looked at the computer screen, which was stacked four deep, with budgets to review and approve. Busy didn’t even begin to explain his day.
“What do you need?”
“We think we have black rot. Two rows near the lake.”
Leo was on his feet before Ryan even finished speaking. “I’m on my way.”
One of the golf carts was outside, so Leo jumped on it, texting Andie that he took it in case whoever left it there goes looking. She sent him a text back that she was the one who drove it and she didn’t need it.
