“Hey, welcome back!” Leo said as he walked into his office. Not his office. Dillon’s office.
“Thanks,” Dillon replied, looking up from the desk. “It’s good to be back.”
“Is Katherine with you?”
Dillon nodded. “For a few weeks. She’s taking some time off before the tour starts. We’re going to visit her parents next week sometime and mostly just hang around.”
“It sounded like you had a good trip.”
“We did. It was good to get away. And I knew things here were running well thanks to you. I appreciate it.”
Leo grinned. “Any time.”
“That’s good to hear,” Dillon said.
“Why is that?” The hopeful tone in Dillon’s voice made Leo anxious. He was going to tell Dillon he didn’t want to be the next CEO, but the way Dillon was talking, it wouldn’t be long before Leo was.
