Chapter Five • He Can't Be My Mate.

1322 Words
Ellen looked around the house and the two people standing right in front of her were total strangers to her. 'How did I get here, is this the real land of the dead?' She asked no one in particular as she kept using her eyes to survey the whole house. 'What do you want? What do you want me to do for you…' Those words flashed into her head as she kept forcing herself to recall more. 'Do you want a second better life… Or… Do you want a life of revenge…? Now the person who said all those to her became clear to her, a lady who turned her back at Ellen as she spoke to her. She clearly remembered how the place was, it was a resemblance of hell if not hell, as hot as the sun, with fire surrounding it but though it doesn't touch anyone. 'A life of thorough revenge, a life of severe revenge, a life of…' She was still trying to explain to her when the lady then raised her hands and pointed her Index finger on Ellen before she shouted, 'Go…!' That was the last word of hers which she can clearly remember now. That's the reason she is here… For nothing more than, revenge!' “Annabel, Annabel! You're awake.” Alpha Felix exclaimed loudly as he walked towards his daughter… His pride was awake … His one and only jewel is finally awake… He used his thumb to touch her face and calmly caressed her palm gently before he took her into a tight and passionate hug, reminiscing all that he had missed for a good six months. After a while, he broke the hug and looked at his daughter's face and said to her, “My darling, do you know how much I have missed you.” As these words left his lips, uncontrollable tears of joy dripped down his cheek as he remembered how a certain physician told him his daughter will certainly die, but maybe not so soon. His whole world almost crumbled down when he heard that, but he refused to believe that. He hugged her again so tightly, Ellen was confused about why a man she didn't recall anything about would keep hugging her so tightly. “Darling, you're not saying anything, what is the matter?” Alpha Felix asked her. Ellen decided to act as though she had lost her memory to avoid countless questions and expectations from her. While he asked her those questions, she kept staring at him as though he were some kind of statue or paintings. “Alpha, step back, let me check on her.” Caine said to the confused Alpha Felix. Caine walked to her bed edge, not concentrating on anything except for the fact that the beautiful damsel right in front of him is his mate. His mate… His Luna… “Alpha because she was in an unconscious state for a very long time, she's currently having a temporary amnesia.” Caine said to Alpha Felix as he kept glancing back sporadically to have a glimpse of his mate. When he couldn't take it any longer, he went to where she was laying on and bent over on her head side. Even though he was so tempted to have her lips instead, he decided against it and went for her neck and stamped his claim on her. It was only when they were closer did Ellen feel the electricity between them, and her wolf just woke up from it slobber. His bite wasn't at all painful, but it was promising… When he raised his head up to look at her face, he smiled broadly at her and said. “” You're my mate… My Luna.”” The smile on his lips got broader as he spoke to her. “Caine, what are you doing to my daughter?” Alpha Felix, the obviously overprotective Father, said to Caine when he saw him biting her neck. “” I'm sorry if I had to do this now, she's my mate Alpha… So, I had to give her a mark at least, I'm sorry for that. Caine said with smiles, not at all minding whether Alpha Felix was angry or not. “Please young man, my daughter just woke up and please she isn't being in any way taken by anyone as a mate until she fully recovers.” Alpha Felix made his points clear and known to Caine, who nodded his head in affirmation. “Darling, I will be right back.” Alpha Felix said to Ellen, who just nodded her head, and he looked at Caine, giving him a sign to follow him. “Thank you so much Caine, I Can't thank you enough, you made me smile again, you don't know that Annabel is my smile… Thanks again Caine.” Alpha Felix said to Caine taking him into a tight heart-warming hug, when they were standing outside his mansion “It wasn't my doing, it was the will of the goddess.” Caine replied to Alpha Felix. “I will be heading back to my pack now, an urgent matter came up.” Caine pronounced after a minute of awkward silence. “Send my regards to your father.” Alpha Felix replied, not minding that his excitement about Caine's departure was obvious. Alpha Felix is truly grateful to Caine for his help, but that doesn't mean he had to take her away from him by claiming her instantly the moment she opened her eyes. Not that he doesn't want his daughter to have a mate, but he wants to make more memories with her before that. Ellen stood up from the bed she was sitting on and headed into a door in the room she presumes to be the bathroom. She looked at her reflection on the mirror in the bathroom and saw she wasn't with the face she recalls… She wasn't with Ellen's face anymore, but perhaps Annabel's. “” Finally, I was given the chance to come back to life and I will never misuse this opportunity… I am back to give those people who gave me pain, pain and those that gave me joy will I give joy… It's time for revenge, total revenge.” Ellen said out in anger. After two days, someone sent a message to Alpha Felix that the Alpha of the blue moon pack will be paying a visit to this pack. Alpha Felix hates that pack a lot. But because they are the second most populated and powerful pack, he had to act as though someone special were visiting. Or else he might wage a war against his pack, as rumor has it that he does to anyone who doesn't respect his visit. “Ahhhhh…!” Ellen exclaimed loudly when someone pumped into her in the hallway as she was about to return to her room after her discussion with her dad. “Watch it.!” The Man snapped at her and was about to walk out when she dragged him on his shirt. “You can't just cause a problem and then walk out on it as though it weren't you, say at least sorry.” Ellen said to the man. Alpha Damien kept looking at Ellen for what seemed like ages as his wolf jumped around frequently before he mustered the courage to take a step towards her, and the next thing that he did was to… Bite her neck, but though not at the same place where Caine had marked her. Ellen kept hitting his chest in defense, but he didn't bulge, it was as if she was hitting on a plank. Although she felt the connection between them, she refused to accept that… Her enemy can't be her mate again! “Alpha Damien, what are you doing to my daughter?” Alpha Felix's voice trailed through the hallway.
