The employees are already seated to their respectful place.
Yuxuan stands beside me, observing the employees who all look up as I enter. They immediately straighten their postures, some of them glancing nervously at Yuxuan, unsure of his presence.
The room falls silent, awaiting my instructions.
"Hello everyone before we start I want to present someone to all of you." Gesturing to Yuxuan. "This is Yang Yuxuan my personal scretary."
The employees' eyes widen in surprise at the introduction. They all look at Yuxuan with a mix of curiosity and respect, some even nodding in acknowledgment.
One of the older employees, a beta woman named Li Xiu, speaks up.
"Welcome, Mr. Yang. It's a pleasure to have you here."
Yang Yuxuan nodded at her, then I spoke up. "Alright now Miss Li what is the report for the compagny's money?"
Li Xiu quickly opens her folder and begins presenting the financial report, her voice steady and professional.
"Yes sir. Our profits have increased by 15% compared to last quarter. However, we've noticed a slight dip in revenue from our western branch."
"Do we know why it has deduced instead of growing?"
Li Xiu nods, flipping through her notes.
"It appears there's been some competition from a new startup in the western region. They've been poaching our clients with cheaper prices."
She glances at Yuxuan briefly before continuing.
"Fine then we go cheaper than them."
The employees exchange looks of surprise at my straightforward solution. Li Xiu hesitates for a moment before responding.
"But sir, that could potentially damage our quality reputation. We risk losing long-term clients if we start cutting corners."
"Yes maybe, but if we go cheaper than them. Clients will start to notice, so those clients will be more attracted to it. So more will come, and the reputation will grow. Yes of course we might do less money but It be won't be that big of a lost still."
Li Xiu considers my argument, nodding slowly in understanding.
"That's... a valid point. It could be a risky but effective strategy. We'll need to carefully monitor our expenses and ensure we maintain quality standards while offering lower prices."
One of the younger employees, an Alpha named Cheng, speaks up.
"Should we consider restructuring our production lines to increase efficiency as well?"
"Yes it could actually be a great idea, it might help make it more efficient."
Cheng looks pleased with my approval, his chest puffing up slightly with pride.
"I'll start working on the efficiency plan right away, sir. I have some ideas that could cut down on waste and improve our overall output."
Li Xiu makes a note in her folder, already thinking ahead.
"I'll coordinate with the production team to make sure everything runs smoothly during the transition period."
"Good great work everyone. I now declare this meeting over, you all can go back to work."
The employees stand up and begin gathering their things. Some give Yuxuan curious glances as they file out of the room.
Li Xiu approaches me before leaving.
"Mr. Hua, I'll have the new pricing structure on your desk by tomorrow morning."
"Good, Miss Li."
Li Xiu nods and exits, leaving me and Yuxuan alone in the meeting room. The atmosphere is less tense now that the business discussion is over.
Yuxuan shifts his weight, looking at me expectantly.
"What's next on our agenda, sir?"
"Next, lunch break!" I said stretching my arms.
Yuxuan checks his watch, noting the time.
"Lunch break it is. Would you like me to order something for you, or are you planning to go out?"
He asks professionally, though he's curious about your usual habits during breaks.
"In your state right now we're not going anywhere, so order and order something for you also."
Yuxuan blushes slightly at the reminder of his Rut, feeling both grateful and embarrassed that i'm looking out for him.
"Thank you, sir. I'll order from the company cafeteria then."
He pulls out his phone to place the order, making sure to choose something light that won't upset his stomach.
"Okay then let's go back to my office and looks at some more contract while we wait for the food."
Yuxuan follows men back to your office, still feeling the effects of his Rut but managing to keep his composure.
"Of course, Mr. Hua. I'll bring the contracts over to your desk."
He moves quickly to retrieve the documents from the table, trying not to show any discomfort as he walks.
"Yang Yuxuan, are you okay?"
Yuxuan pauses mid-step, his hand gripping the edge of the desk as he feels a wave of heat hit him.
"I... I'm fine, sir. Just a bit warm."
He forces a smile, but his knuckles are white from holding on so tightly.
"What need another shot or what?" I said smirking.
Yuxuan's face turns redder at my smirk, and he nods reluctantly.
"Yes, please. I think I might need another shot."
He shifts uncomfortably, knowing that the suppressants are starting to wear off faster than usual due to his proximity to me.
"What! Are you serious right now?!" I said raising an eyebrow.
Yuxuan looks down, ashamed and flustered by his body's reaction.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Hua. I know it's not professional, but my Rut is getting stronger. I didn't think it would happen so quickly."
He takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself.
"I'll go to the restroom and take care of it myself."
"Let me give you the shot then if you really want it. My office now!"
Yuxuan hesitates for a moment, clearly torn between his pride and his biology.
"I... okay."
In my office I don't waste anytime. I go into my drawer, I take out a little metal case. Then I take the syringe out.
I look at Yuxuan to see what kinda of reaction he has now.
Yuxuan watches me with a mix of anticipation and embarrassment, his breathing becoming more rapid. His eyes follow my movements as I prepare the shot, and he subconsciously leans against your desk for support.
The scent of his Rut intensifies in the confined space of my office, filling the air with his Alpha pheromones.
"Sit." I said expression unreadable
Yuxuan quickly sits in the chair across from me, his legs weak from the pheromones he's releasing. He tries to maintain eye contact but finds it difficult to focus as his body grows more sensitive.
"Yes, sir."
His voice comes out as a soft whimper, and he clenches his fists on his lap.
"Give me your arm."
Yuxuan extends his arm toward me, his sleeve rolled up to reveal his pale skin. His fingers are trembling as he holds it out, the veins visible beneath his skin.
"Please... hurry."
He whispers, clearly struggling to keep his composure.
Then I stab it into his skin, more gently this time.
Yuxuan winces slightly as the needle pierces his skin, but he doesn't flinch away. He watches as me inject the suppressant, his eyes glazed over with a mixture of pain and relief.
The effects of the shot begin to take hold almost immediately, and he lets out a shaky breath as the heat starts to subside.
"Thank you, sir..."
"Don't mention it, friend!" I said, barely smiling, but still visible. And this time it's not dark or cold, it's real.
Yuxuan is taken aback by my smile, his heart skipping a beat. He stares at me in surprise, his cheeks flushed not just from his Rut anymore.
"Friend...?"
He repeats softly, as if testing the word on his tongue. It's the first time i've shown him any genuine warmth, and it catches him off guard.
"Yes a friend I never really had one before. And I think you are a friend to me now." In my expression, there was a mix of confusion and something else, something I couldn't even name.
Yuxuan's expression softens, his eyes widening with a hint of disbelief and hope.
"I... I would be honored to be your friend, Mr. Hua."
He says sincerely, his voice gaining strength despite the lingering effects of his Rut The realization that i consider him a friend seems to make him forget his embarrassment momentarily.
"Good then let's go back to thoses contracts now."
Yuxuan nods, standing up from the chair with renewed energy. He straightens his clothes and adjusts his glasses, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Right, the contracts."
He moves back to the desk, feeling a warmth in his chest that has nothing to do with his Rut. The atmosphere between us has shifted subtly, becoming more comfortable and less formal.
