Chapter 27

Liv’s POV

The conversation with Lucas was short. He told me about Yara and how he wanted me. But that didn't change how I felt about Bryan. I loved him and would never leave him.

The next few days went by fast. Lucas was always trying to find a way to be around me. I won’t lie the Mate bond was strong but I only wanted Bryan.

Bryan was amazing. He kept his cool and supported me. He told me he completely trusted me. Having a mate that didn’t get mad over things beyond your control is amazing. I could sometimes tell he was jealous, but he remained calm.

I couldn’t wait to get back to Elite Academy, but I didn’t know how things were going to change. I didn’t want to be away from Bryan.

As soon as we got back we were greeted by Titan and sent right to the Head Masters office.

“Olivia and Bryan. Come in and have a seat.”

Following directions, we took the two seats directly across from the Head Master.

“I was pleasantly surprised to find out two of my best students were mates. However, this is something we have never encountered here at the academy. So we have decided that we will combine the two groups.”

“So how will this work?” Bryan asked.

“We have opened the room on the other side of Liv’s room. The issue is that she lost her closet. It was the only way we could make it work. But it’s only for a couple of months till your group graduates.

“What will happen then?” Bryan seemed concerned.

The Head Master looked deep in thought. “We have had some issues lately with rogues attacking packs. The king plans to take every recruit for the foreseeable future.”

He took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose as if he was in pain. “The king is very interested in a mated couple coming from the Elite Academy. The next three weeks there will be nothing but training, no classes. During this time we are looking to create and accelerated program for your pack Liv.”

“How accelerated?” I asked.

“That is the issue we don’t know yet, but we are hoping to keep Bryan with you until you graduate. But when you return from Christmas break, we will have the program in place. If the rest of your pack agrees, Liv.”

We headed to my room and found it wasn’t as comfortable with 8 people all in the same place, but for some reason it didn’t take long for us to all get close.

The next three weeks went by extremely fast. I was beyond exhausted every single day. The training during those three weeks was brutal. The day before we were set to go back to my pack we found out the details of accelerated training.

If we decided to accept the accelerated training, we would train 7 days a week and we would start before breakfast and even have additional classwork after dinner. We would lose all breaks but we would end up completing the Academy in 9 months instead of the 18 months that we still had left.

Bryan agreed to help with the training and classes when he completed his 2 years in February. His pack agreed to stay on till August to help us complete the training. The best part was my guys all agreed to basically kill themselves so Bryan and I could be together.

But tomorrow we are heading home for 4 weeks before we start training. I would have less than two weeks before my wedding and the day I would mate with Bryan. Despite the last three weeks of physical torture in training, I couldn’t keep my hands off Bryan.

I still didn’t know why I decided to wait but there was a bigger part of me that was happy.

The following afternoon, Bryan, Oli, Demetri, and I got out of the car and made our way into our pack house.

As soon as the door opened, we were greeted by my parents, Alpha and Luna, and a couple I assume were Demetri’s parents.

My parents rushed me, Oli, and Bryan. You would have thought Oli and Bryan were their kids. But it warmed my heart to see how my family had brought them into our family.

What made me even happier was watching Demetri with his parents. His Mother’s love was very apparent and seeing them so comfortable in the pack house made my day.

Demetri headed to his house with his parents and the rest of us made our way to my house. Only to find my Mom had turned our guest room into a room for Oli.

Standing in the room with Oli, I was in aww but not as much as Oli.

“This is for me?”

“Yes honey. You are family and I wanted you to have a room you could call your own. I hope you like it. The twins gave me most of the ideas from all the time they spent with you.”

“It’s perfect,” Oli said, slowly turning around in the room. “Thank you. For the first time in my life, I feel like I have a family that cares about me.”

He quickly turned and hugged my mom and dad. I felt complete. I had my mate and pack from Elite became one with my pack. Except Mateo. I already miss him and I hope everything is OK.

The next few days we spent shopping and getting to know Demetri’s parents. I loved them and felt right at home with them.

I thought for sure I would see Lucas, but he hasn’t been around. I heard his mother’s parents' pack was attacked by rogues and he was there helping them rebuild.

On Christmas eve, Bryan’s grandparents arrived at our house. I was super excited about meeting them but nervous all at the same time.

But they were great. I loved them and Bryan said they loved me. They will be staying with us till after the wedding. Bryan said they were the only family that he would have at the wedding.

Our wedding guest list was small. Bryan’s Elite Pack would be at the wedding. My family, Alpha Edward and his luna, Wyatt and his mate, my Elite Pack, and Bryan’s grandparents.

In a few weeks, I would be married, marked and mated. I couldn't wait.
