"Thanks for guiding me," I told Khai when we got downstairs.
"No problem. Can you walk alone? I need to go to my practice now."
"Yes. I can manage."
"Okay. I'm going then." He says, turning his back at me and he starts to walk away. But before he could walk away, I called him.
"Hey, Khai."
He stops walking and turned his back at me.
"Please, this time, keep your promise."
"I will." He smiled and then turn around again and walk away.
I can see the sincerity in his eyes so I can now breathe in relief.
I go to the clinic.
