Several hours before the incident of kissing a stranger...
Oscar JB smiled widely as he re-read the email he opened last night just to make sure it was not a dream. The email was a notice of acceptance against his application, informing they accepted him at Sterling Law Firm.
Studying at the most widely recognised and one of the biggest law schools in the world definitely had its advantage. He was very excited because Sterling Law Firm was one of the best law firms across the country, the law firm he dreamed to join.
He stood up from his study table and grabbed he jogging outfit from his walk-in closet. He quickly changed into it. His dark hair was dishelved due to it been early in the morning, And Oscar’s sharp features says it that he is an incredible handsome man. The one that will make you squirm at the sight of him.
"Not bad… The weather is good today…” He gasped as the cold air outside brushed through his cheeks. It was still dark, and the sun was still deep down on the horizon, yet to rise and sprinkle its morning rays.
Oscar had moved into this neighborhood for some months ago and this was his usual routine ever since… Jog at this early morning hour and then afterwards have a cup of hot piping coffee in his favorite cafe in the neighborhood.
He was sweating profusely after some running, so he sat down on the bench and watched the sun rising in the sky. "Such a beautiful scene, right?" Oscar heard a woman’s voice comment. She also sat down on the same bench and even offered bottled water to him.
"No thanks. I have mine…" Oscar simply commented. "Do you jog here often?" The woman asked and Oscar just nodded, not even bothering himself to look at the young woman talking beside her.
"Hmm, this area is really beautiful. I guess I would jog in this area more often now…" He heard the young woman mumble. Oscar Sighed, hearing another lame dialogue used for flirting.
"Do you mind if I ask for your number?" He heard the woman speak once more.
Oscar turned his head to look at her. The young woman was not bad at all. She was quite good looking and seemed to be just a few years younger than him.
With a blank stare he asked, "Why do you need my number?"
The young girl grinned, flashing her beautiful set of white teeth and answered, "I'm interested in you… and? Hmm…”
"Sorry but I'm not interested in you Little girl?" Oscar asked next, putting a heavy stress on the word ‘little girl’
The girl smiled and said, "Hmm, maybe I can work it out and make you interested..."
Oscar moved his neck left and right then stood up to do some quick stretching. With raised eyebrows, he turned at her and said, "Sorry again but I really am not interested."
Oscar, leaving the girl in stupor, ran to the neighborhood cafe for breakfast. He grabbed the latest newspaper and sat on his favorite chair that he had been using in the past few days.
He was drinking his coffee when he received a call from his friend Max asking him to have lunch with him saying there was something important to discuss. Max can be pretty too much sometimes.
"Message me the address.” The call ended and he grabbed the newspaper to continue reading.
His eyebrows arched when he felt a shadow approaching him.
He put down the newspaper and saw the same girl from before sitting in front of him. Oscar heaved a long sigh and looked at her with a stern expression.
"Hmm, we meet again. Do you mind if I take this seat and join you?" The young girl said with a smile.
Oscar’s eyebrows arched as he sighed, "Why bother to ask when you're already sitting? By the way, I do mind your sitting here. I prefer to sit alone Little girl." It was true. He hated it when his privacy was being invaded by anyone. Only his trusted friends had the right to barge into his anytime and invade his privacy.
The girl chuckled and introduced herself then offered her hand for a handshake. Oscar stared at her hand and snapped, "I'm actually married little girl. So please go on another table if you don't want my wife to see you lingering around me…"
"Hmm, but I don't see a ring in your finger." Oscar’s eyebrows flinched while a smirk formed on his face. He looked at the girl who was now grinning, sitting opposite him. He hated spoiled brats like her who thought they could have their way with everything and anyone they wanted to. Well, not just spoiled girls like her, but he practically hated every woman on the earth!
"How about you keep this so you can contact me whenever you are free...." The girl put her calling card on the table and insisted.
Oscar grabbed the card and looked at it. He then put the card on his coffee table and said, "As I've said, I'm not interested. If I see you follow me again, I will have no choice but to report you to the police."
He stood up and was about to walk off the cafe when Oscar felt the girl grab his hand and whispered softly in his ears. “I don’t give up so easily handsome!”
"You're crazy. Do you think you're that pretty, huh? Acting smart, huh?" Oscar exclaimed.
Oscar abruptly pulled his arm and calmly muttered, “Just go away.”
"Yeah, I'm crazy so if I were in your place, I would prefer to just speak to me calmly."
The girl watched him leave as she continued cursing him at his back. The cafe owner, who knew Oscar very well, shook his head as he witnessed the scene. "Tsk, good thing she stopped or else she would have experienced the worse," Jack muttered.
"Do you know him boss?" one of his waiters, who had just seen Oscar that day for the first time, asked.
"Of course… He is friend of my good friend, Max, we were a classmate during high school days. Max once mentioned how the man sees the entire female species as very evil... He is Oscar JB.”
The waiter nodded and whispered, "Oh, he’s the type who will die a old zaddy. Hmm, he’s a heartless man."
Boogs*
"Ouch!" cried the waiter while he scratched his head that was just hit by his boss.
"Go to work you gossip monger pervert…" Jack mumbled with a twisted mouth. But then he smirked with that idea in his mind to gist Max later regarding what he just witness.
'A man who will die a old zaddy- Oscar JB, a heartless man.'
