Chapter 14 I left Bite Me! feeling worse instead of better. I wanted to believe things were okay with Drew and I, but his mother’s words were taunting me, like she was right about all of it. And I’d been wrong about Drew. When I finally got home all I wanted to do was crash. I wasn’t ready for a big talk with Drew or to hear more excuses from him about why we needed to keep things a secret. I just wanted to sleep. I changed into my pajamas and crawled into bed.
