Cole's pov We arrived at the gates. The place was alive with activity—guards milling around, people running errands. Something was happening. Two cars idled in front of ours. The guards were moving painstakingly slow, inspecting every vehicle like their lives depended on it. My patience, already worn thin by the cryptic message that had been looping in my mind, evaporated entirely. I rolled down the window and leaned out. "Open the damn gate!"
