Rebecca I was finally asleep after what had been an excruciatingly long and dangerous night. Barely. I had dozed off in the early hours of the morning, slipping into the depths of much-needed oblivion, only for my sweet, blissful rest to be shattered by a sound that ripped me from my fragile slumber.
