Mistake or Not

I woke up in an unfamiliar room. This was not my place.I stood up from the bed making my way towards the living room.I scanned the area to look for anyone but no one was there. As I looked around,I recognized the surrounding areas.Raluca's house.Memories from last night started flooding.I let my own learner satisfy my needs. But why did she agree?She could have said no.Both of us wouldn't have to regret it .

I made my way outside the house and went to my own apartment.I had only two hours to get ready for school.Should I call in sick?Exams were approaching and as a professor,I had to prepare the students so skipping was no option.I made my way towards the bathroom to get ready. Today was a casual day so I wore black cargo pants with a red hoodie and black retro 4 Jordans.I made my hair into a pony tail.Instead of a hand bag,I took a red black pack and placed everything inside.

I called my friend Beverly for coffee and she agreed to meet at the cafe.I entered the cafe within 20 minutes and found her sitting in a corner.

"Indie"she shouted as she stood up to hug me and kiss my forehead.

"Lyver I am too old for kisses please but I can definitely use a hug right now. Please hold me."I poured as I threw myself into her arms .

"That's new.Are you okay?I missed you."she commented.

"Do I look okay?No my whole body feels like it's on fire."

"With all those marks on your neck,I agree that you are on fire.So how was it?"she mocked.

"What are you talking about?"

"Indie I know you think I am an i***t but I know how a hickey looks. And you have not just one but more than 5 of them and they go down to your boobs. "Beverly retorted making me cover my neck and choke on my coffee.

"Look I messed up.What I am about to tell you cannot leave the room at all. Or your lips."

"Spill."she added.

"There is this particular person I met on my first day as a professor.She doesn't need the aura because she is the aura.She was sick this couple of days and I have been taking care of her from afar, I'd drop by her house and just entertain her but I never crossed the line of going inside. Yesterday we met again but she approached me and we talked.Everything was good until I said her friend is a puppet and she held my throat making me breathless."I stated

"Indie those marks are not from someone holding your throat.Main question,are you okay?I know you hate physical touch so ...."Beverly said with care in her eyes.

"Yes now let me finish.I ran away and went to my house but I couldn't just sit around so I went for a walk. I met a group of thugs who forced me to drink Tequila.It tasted weird but I agreed since they said if I do I can walk away. That's when my body started to act weird. Let's just say I was horny and .."

"What ? "Beverly cut in .

"Let me finish or you won't know the worst part."

"My mouth is shut."she commented holding back her laugh.

"Yes so I found it weird and I ran away but they chased me. I ran into the person again and she rescued me.I don't know what happened after that but I woke up in her house. Before she could walk away,I straddled her .I may or may not have asked her to f**k the s**t out of me . That's how it happened."

After my last statement, Beverly burst out laughing making me bury my face in my hands.

"I don't understand something,you are clearly smitten so why panic?Look you clearly enjoyed it so just go talk to her about it."Beverly petitioned.

Before I could answer her questions,I saw four familiar faces and my face dropped.It was Raluca , Aurelia, Tobias and Cody.

"Jesus Christ.Of all the cafes they chose to come here?"

My eyes met Raluca's and we stared at each other for longer than expected.I noticed that she was wearing the same outfit as mine except that her hoodie was black.

"Indila are you listening to me?My eyes are up here."Beverly asked .

"Yeah but can we go now?I am not feeling good.."

"Not until you tell me who that was and do not say no one because that eye contact was intense."Beverly supplemented with her brows raised.

"That's the person I just told you about.Look she f****d good yes but it cannot happen again. Never again.Look that girl took advantage of me.She was supposed to say no when I asked because I was under the influence."I shouted at her .

"Okay cool but you have to answer my questions.How about we meet later today ,just you and I. I will bring Chicken and mushroom pizza."Beverly asked with a pout on her face.

"This better not be about that girl because I despise her for what happened....she"before I could finish my statement, someone cut in.

"Despise me? That's a huge word professor.Took advantage of you?Says someone who barked orders at me like I was nothing but her minion. I am sorry that I took advantage of you.Emphasis on advantage at the moment.Don't worry,you will never have to face your r****t ever again.Cody call the principal and tell her that I am sick."I turned around to see Raluca.She had tears threatening to come out of her eyes.

"I didn't mean that please just let me explain."

"No need for that professor.I heard and understood everything. I am sorry for everything that happened."Raluca turned around and left and i watched her drive away .

"Cody and take care of the principal.Tobias go to West Side View and get her enrolled.As for you miss Indila, whatever you want shall be provided.Here is a check . Write the amount you need."Aurelia attached.

"Wow? Seriously?Guys please just don't let her leave. I know I was an i***t but please just let me explain to her. I didn't mean any of it.And please I am not taking the money because I was the one who consented. If I take the money I will look like a hooker."

"Sweetheart the money is not for you to forget or shut up about the incident.It is for you to stay away from her."Cody added and I sensed hatred in his voice.

"Lanchester let's go. Please you can deal with this later because you are clearly sweating and this is a sign of another episode."Beverly plead .

"Say what now?"Tobias asked."Lanchester?"

"That's her mother's surname.I am sorry for whatever happened here guys . I know Indila and I know she didn't mean any of it.Can we meet tonight so we can talk?"Beverly queried and I collapsed into her arms .

"Sure but it depends on Raluca's mood.If she says no then we are not coming."Aurelia added.

"Ciao."Beverly said.

"Take me to the hospital please "I cried."Lyver please I am not good and I can feel it . Just take me." I said weakly.

I woke up in the hospital with drips connected to my arm. My vision was blurry for a few minutes. Beverly was on my side resting her head against the bed . Cody and Tobias were outside.i scanned the room looking for unique eyes but I didn't see them.

"Lyver?"I said with a weak smile on my face.

She stood up abruptly and hugged me.

"Hey you are awake."she added. Her skin was pale.

"Where is she?"I enquired about Raluca .

"She has been here the first day but never again after that."Beverly pinned.

"WHAT!!!How long have I been out for?"

"3 days .We need to have a serious conversation.Why didn't you tell me ?Why did you lie to me? Keeping it all a secret?Am I not worth it?"Beverly queried.

"What are you talking about?"I faced away. I knew exactly what she was talking about but i didn't want to admit it.

"Stage 4 cancer and I had to find out from a doctor?You knew this for how long?"she demanded the answers.

I knew she wouldn't give up so I answered "I knew for the past two years.Look I didn't want to hurt you that's why I hid it. Not even my parents know about this. "

With that being said,she turned around and walked out of the room.
