Epilogue
The day of the show, Stoney stood behind the scenes being fitted into one garment after the other, and then strutted his stuff before the buyers. He couldn’t believe how nervous he was. This show might be for the buyers, and the designer’s clothes he modeled might be the best and most stylish, and even though they fit him like a glove, he felt his nerves jumping around like bouncing balls. When he walked out, he was always sure of himself and every step he would take, but every time he did, his eyes met Hud’s, and he would feel a thrill sizzling inside him. He loved seeing the smile on his face, the proud look he had when he watched Stoney strut along the runway showing off the latest fashions.
